Super proud of the BISD gymnastics team. Today, they competed in the Kingwood Classic and every gymnast medaled! 🏅The men’s team placed second place🥈 all around and the women’s team placed 4th all around!

On Saturday, February 24, 2024, the Lady Bruin Powerlifting Team competed at the THSWPA Regional Championships at Alvin High School.
West Brook’s top Finishers are:
97 lb Weight Division
*1st Place Saniyah Chandler lifting a total of 575 lbs
8th Place MyAngel Whitehurst lifting a total of 410 lbs
105 lb Weight Division
*2nd Place - Cindy Yang lifting a total of 660 lbs
*4th Place - Jaden Reed lifting a total of 625 lbs
165 lbs Weight Division
*4th Place - Da’Lea Benton lifting a total of 825 lbs
5th Place - Thanh Tran lifting a total of 810 lbs
220 lb Weight Division
3rd Place - Paris Harrison lifting a total of 810
*DaLea Benton was awarded Outstanding Deadlift from the Heavy Platform, lifting a total of 360 lbs
These ladies will represent and Beaumont ISD at the State Championships on March 13, 2024

On Wednesday, February 17, 2024 the Lady Bruin Powerlifting Team competed at the Aggie Showdown at Texas A&M University. Over 230 lifters from 14 schools across the state of Texas competed.
West Brook’s top finishers are:
1st Place - Cindy Yang in her weight division.
2nd Place - Jaden Reed in her weight division.
5th Place - Thanh Tran in her weight division.
7th Place - Paris Gillam in her weight division.
7th Place - Paris Harrison in her weight division.
Next the Lady Bruins will compete for their chance to represent West Brook at the State Championship Meet next month.
