It is also very important to check the temperature when reheating the food, it should be 165 degrees faranheit. To cook the steak perfectly on stove top: Preheat the oven to 450, place a cast iron pan or other oven proof pan in the oven for 5minutes. Carefully remove the skillet using oven mitts and place it on the stove top over medium heat. Add some garlic butter and your marinated steak, cook for 2 minutes each side, then place the skillet back in the oven for 6-7 minutes, carefully remove and put it back on stove top over low heat for 3 minutes. Check the temperature for desired doneness. Allow to rest for 8-10 minutes
P.S Take extreme caution when handling the hot pan to and from the oven
To add to this Tibetan Proverb, I will say “The secret to living mindfully and longer is: to eat half, walk double, laugh triple and love without measure.”
One of the best way to manage your health is to portion control. Fill half your plate with non-starchy vegetables and fruits, 1/4 with healthy proteins, 1/4 with healthy grains and dairy.
Recommendation for exercise is 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week or 150 minutes per week.
Exercise reduces the risk of chronic conditions like heart disease, stroke, cancer, obesity.
Doing exercise regularly does not just have physical benefits but have mental and emotional benefits as well.
It improves cognitive function, reduces anxiety/depression, improves sleep and acts as an overall mood enhancer
Smiling activates the release of neuropeptides and neurotransmitters (dopamine, serotonin and endorphins), which decrease stress levels, relax the body, lowers your heart rate and blood pressure, and serves as an antidepressant and mood lifter. Smiling is a pre-programmed behavior. We have mirror neurons, we tend to mimic other people’s actions.

What is Phytic acid?
Phytic acid is a substance found in many plant based foods. It is also called inositol hexaphosphate.
It is the storage form of Phosphorus in plant-based foods.
Phytic acid is a natural antioxidant, it has many health benefits.
Food rich in phytic acid:
Grains: Such as whole wheat, oats, and rice
Legumes: Such as black beans, pinto beans, kidney beans, soy beans, peanuts, and lentils
Nuts and seeds: Such as walnuts, pine nuts, almonds, and sesame seeds
Tubers: Such as potatoes, turnips, beets, and carrots
Impairs mineral absorption
When phytic acid binds to other minerals like manganese, zinc or iron, the two form a compound known as a phytate. Because humans don't have the enzymes needed to break down phytate, as much as 50 percent of these minerals -- especially iron -- passes out of the body unabsorbed.
To reduce mineral deficiency, use soaking sprouting and fermenting method of cooking.
IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO ELIMINATE FOOD THAT CONTAINS PHYTIC ACID.
Mindfulness Meditation is a combination of mindfulness and meditation, where you slows down the mind through meditation and being fully focused on the ‘Now’ accepting the thoughts without judgment.
In mindfulness meditation, the idea is not to completely shut out thoughts, but to not allow yourself to get carried away by your thoughts.
It can be as simple as 5-10 minutes of Deep Breathing a day.
In the beginning your thoughts do tend to wander off but then every time return your attention to the breath

Go easy on salt. An average American adult consume about 3,400mg of salt per day. This mainly comes from processed food and from restaurant food. It is best to use natural flavor enhancers. Reading Nutrition Facts label is very important, make sure to read the portion size as well. If the nutrition facts are for one serving and you consume two servings then double the nutrient facts as well.
When you get up in the morning alive, from a cozy bed. Be able to breathe. Be able to move. Be able to speak. Be able to see. Be able to eat. Then, a deep feeling of gratitude surrounds you! You want to give back to the universe the energy that will light up everything. Stay in the present moment, this will not come back again.

Eating seasonal fruits and vegetables have tremendous health benefits: 1. There nutritional value is much higher compare to non-seasonal ones 2. They are easy to digest 3. They provide the right nutrients for the right weather, like oranges in winter are loaded with vitamin C, much needed for boosting immune system and therefore helps against cold and flu. Like watermelon in summer, is loaded with water and electrolytes that will help you stay hydrated during the summer season 5. They are cheaper 6. It is also very important to buy locally grown fruits and vegetables as this promotes a safer food supply, helps local economy, better for environment. The daily recommendations based on 2000calories/day are from American Heart Association.
Setting SMART goals is the first step towards fulfilling your dreams. Writing them everyday gives a strong message to your subconscious mind. Pick up one goal from each area of your life; personal, professional, relationships, intellectual or spiritual development goals. Working with a clear purpose builds self-confidence. Gives you positive energy that radiates and shines with you, attract and influence others around you. Wake up with a purpose, sleep with a dream!

3. Choosing a high calorie food when given a choice (as part of our evolution, with food scarcity)
Just Like your smart phone have default settings, do you keep your factory settings?
No, so we need to work on ourselves to change and download new more positive, efficient settings by practicing Mindfulness, Self-Awareness and Self-Reflection.
In this awareness, lies our freedom to choose, what to think. How to move from self-centeredness to more compassion, to move from fearfulness to be more brave, to choose from food scarcity to abundance and making balanced, healthy choices.
Give me ❤️ if you agree. Time is running away faster than we think, like a slab of melting ice. We need to think and act wisely before our borrowed time in this universe is up. Do Not Throw Away your precious energy in things that are not in your control. Make a difference by acting on things that you can control. Mindfulness teaches you how to be more aware of the present moment without judgment. It gives you real freedom from the constant rerun of your minds fearful stories. Become an observer of your thoughts. Ask yourself, if this thought is harming me or healing me? Discard the harming ones, Stick to the healing ones. Love yourself, Love others!
