In our social media-driven world, it's all too easy to fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to others. We scroll through carefully curated feeds and judge ourselves based on the highlight reels we see. It's sooo important to keep in mind that the view and perspective we're looking at is limited. We never truly know the struggles others have faced or the hard work they've put in to get where they are. It's essential to remain humble and extend grace to those around us.

As we enter into winter, here are a few tips to combat dry hair this season:

1️⃣ A Humidifier- TBH this one is a catch all. But your skin, hair and nose will thank you.

2️⃣ Switch up your stylers- Utilize creams, hydrating shampoos or conditioners. If you are testing this out, introduce one product at a time to avoid overloading your hair.

3️⃣ Conditioning Treatments- I personally don’t hype these up because of over use. BUT now is the time! I encourage my clients to have a treatment done in the salon with heat for the full benefits.

📣 Model Call-
Every month we host open studios to provide education for our salon team and other local stylists. We also have an assistant program where we do one on one trainings with cos students or newly licensed stylists. We are always in need of models for both of these educational trainings to add to our model directory.

How to prep for your hair appointment...

1️⃣ Come in with clean-ish hair- It's a myth that dirty hair colors better we promise it doesn't.

2️⃣ Come open-minded- Whether it's a big change or small, having an open mind during your consultation with your stylist will always give the best results. Our goal is healthy hair, sometimes we can get you to your goal in one appointment and sometimes we cannot.

3️⃣ Come with at least three inspo pics- This gives a better idea of what you are wanting overall. Find pictures that are your hair type on different people and angles.

“Do you do curly kids!?”

I get this question ALL the time. Curly mini’s need love too. Usually I don’t see clients until 4 but here’s the thing y’all, you know if your kid can sit for a haircut or not so be realistic.

All curly hair is welcome! The amount of time I need for everyone is different which is why we have a virtual consultation form on our website. If you have any questions on this topic, feel free to DM me!

These are just a few of the questions I ask during a consultation before I start an appointment. Curly clients are usually extremely nervous at their first appointment! Most of us have all been scarred in the past with a bad experience. Think about your hair goals and look up some inspo pics of hair that looks like yours before your appointment. Booking an appointment with me? Here are some FAQs 👇🏾
💫 My hours are during the day only, no evening appointments.

💫 My schedule is open eight weeks at a time. If there are no dates that are showing available times or dates are “greyed” out, this means I’m fully booked.

💫 Every Monday a new week opens up and you will be able to find new availability. When on our booking site you can add yourself to our “waitlist” to be contacted on any openings.

💫 I communicate through email and DM’s only. I haven’t answered my phone since 2010 so unless you’re my mom….sorry. 😂

💫 I have an incredible staff at my salon that you can book with anytime! is our other curly stylist, but we have a collaborative salon culture and encourage clients to do what is best for their budget + schedule!
