The Bel Air Rotary Club loved hearing from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford & Cecil Counties CEO (and fellow Rotarian) Derek DeWitt about the life changing work they do in our community and expansion into the Upper Eastern Shore. Check them out at www.bgcharfordcecil.org as they would love your support!
Right now, they could use help in raising money to help send 1000 kids to summer camp. Did you know that most youth lose about two month of grade-level equivalency in math and reading skills over the summer? And that youth from low-income households experience even greater loss? Let's help get these kids to summer camp! Donate through the link above!
The Bel Air Rotary Club enjoyed hearing from Sherry Nolte, LCSW-C from The Harford Center, Inc. today. Since its inception in 1961, they have focused on providing the best care to adults with disabilities while respecting each person’s individuality, choices and needs. Check them out at https://harfordcenter.org/ and give them your support!
Our club is growing! Yesterday, our two newest members were officially inducted. We are so excited for Peggy and Greg!
We also had the privilege of hearing from Dr. Bulson, Superintendent of Harford County Public Schools, who caught us up on the future of the school system. Thanks for your time, Dr. Bulson!
On Friday evening, the Bel Air Rotary Club, along with other local Rotarians, volunteered at the BBQ Bash. All tips went to the End Polio Now campaign. If you would like to donate and didn't get to see us on Friday, here is a link to the organization where donations can be made and are appreciated!

We are excited to have Ryan Stockson taking over as our new President, along with some other new Board Members.
It's going to be another great year of "Service over Self", serving the communities of Harford County.

😂🤣We definitely laughed a LOT at our Rotary Club meeting this week! That's because we had the distinct pleasure of hearing from Larry Noto, a wonderful stand-up comedian, singer, and now owner of Music Land after he took over the business from his dad. Our members hung onto his every word, as he was both entertaining and heartwarming at the same time.
It will be worth your while to purchase his new book, The Opening Act, which can be purchased on Amazon at the link below. Thanks for joining us Larry!

Today we had a very informative presentation from Sgt. Aaron Penman and SR. Dep. Eric Blottenberger of the Harford County Sheriff's Office. 👮♂️
We heard all about the Community Policing Unit and the great work they are doing training and educating our community on things like drug addiction prevention, personal safety training, bank robbery training, active shooter training, and marking car converters to reduce thefts.
One example of their amazing work is The Pledge Program. It is a 4-week afterschool program designed for students ages 8-11. Law enforcement, prevention specialists, and medical personnel will use age-appropriate information to educate students about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. It is open to ALL Harford County students ages 8-11! For more information and to register, contact Sgt. Aaron Penman at 410-638-4486 or [email protected].
