Deer recovery, Lost Pet Search and Rescue, herd analysis, and drone fungicide, fertilizer, crop, weeding and seeding.
Don't let anyone tell you that deer cannot be found with the drone in dense foliage. When others put their drone away for the season after last year's hunting season ended we kept flying year-round practicing and sharpening our skills almost daily finding forest animals and lost pets in thick foliage. We found this hunters deer in about 30 minutes tonight in Harford County Maryland.
Pumped for deer recoveries this season.
Currently on a standoff with a lost/escaped heffer. 🤞🏼
This hunting season, the Maryland drone deer recovery pilots have come together to create a user-friendly map for your convenience. It’s easy to read, save, and will help you quickly find someone to assist in locating any lost deer. Ideally, you’ll drop your deer right where it falls and hopefully never need us, but we know that doesn’t always happen. We’re here for you all season, ready to assist when needed. Wishing all hunters the best of luck and a safe season!.
The day before my signal disappeared on the very first pass on this 75 acre field. When I looked at the environmental stats I saw that the KP index was way too high and that's why I probably lost my signal so easily. Came back today and knocked it out of the park in a few hours

Pennsylvania cat ‘Tigger’ lost for over 2 years found 40 miles from home in Lancaster County LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Pennsylvania family’s cat named ‘Tigger’ was found 40 miles away from its home after being missing for over 2 years. According to Northern Lancast…
Phew 😮💨 You guys are definitely keeping me busy. Thanks for all the love.

Annnnd hide and seek champion goes to this little guy; Jasper!!!! Funny story here.
TL;DR
He was in the walls of their home the entire time.
Got a call from a worried lost pet parent that their Jasper had been lost for a whole day and did not come back. He is a strictly an indoor cat and was definitely worried about his being outside alone. He called in our services to see if we could help locate jasper. We scheduled a time to start after midnight. Cats seem to be more comfortable moving around after midnight so that is when I like to search for missing cats. Well three hours later we saw a lot of wildlife. Look at the map below. Every diamond/pindrop is either a rabbit, deer, raccoon, fox, or a neighborhood cat. But unfortunately we didn't see Jasper.
Its never a good feeling walking away from a rescue that was unsuccessful. Especially coming off of a recent rescue where I came out twice to fly where it turned out the dog had already passed away only to find out after two separate missions. I was really hoping for a pick-me-up because I was still feeling the weight of a recent client's loved one's passing.
Well, fast forward to this morning when I get a text from Jasper's owner saying that Jasper randomly showed up INSIDE their home (see screenshot). Yep, he decided that exploring the house from inbetween the walls was a good idea. He hung out between the walls for a couple days not making a single peep until just today he finally emerged. Hide and seek champion! Look at him...he looks like nothing ever happened.
Reminds me of when I used to hide in the clothing racks as a kid at the department stores while my parents frantically looked for me all the while I was tight beside them the entire time.
Be on the lookout in Townsend, DE around this area (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Z2QmMbBwAWfdMwDX9?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy).
We spotted Cooper with our drone tonight but when he came face to face with his owner he still bolted and ran off. Traps are set. Do not chase. Call 302-528-1949 to report sightings.
After four days of spraying, mixed in with a family medical emergency, I definitely need a day off today. I should be back in action on the roster on Tuesday. I hope you guys found your pets.
Special thanks to Dallas Fuhrman for letting me send a about a dozen people his way while I was gone.
Hello everyone. We will be unavailable all weekend for Pet Rescues. We are flying some big drones all weekend up in Pennsylvania. If you need a referral for another pilot please message me and I will see who I can refer you to based on your location.
Good news!!! We went on a search early yesterday morning and did not find Obi. Unbeknownst to us he had traveled 15 miles north way outside of the search grid and a good samaritan spotted him today and he is now home!!! 15 miles in 3 days. 😮
Update on Bella.
Bella had been missing since June 21st. On Sunday June 30th there was a sighting of Bella near the intersection of route 10 and route 2 in Glen Burnie. Yesterday the owners scheduled us to come out last night. After about 45 minutes of searching we made a positive identification about 1/3rd mile away from the Sunday sighting. The location of the sighting was at the very edge of the drone's signal and also about. 7-8 minute drive away so as the family immediately moved to the area where the sighting was we landed the drone, packed up, and then moved closer to the area to begin the search again.
Unfortunately by the time we got into the area Bella had moved out of the area and after searching for a couple hours at the sighting location we did not catch up with her. However, the good news is we verified Bella is alive and hanging around the area she was spotted in and the family is weighing the options of potentially laying a trap in the area. If you spot Bella in the area of where route 10 intersects with route 2 in Glen Burnie please observe and report only to the family at the number below.
Pet Psychics anyone?
I often receive inquiries asking for recommendations for pet psychics and animal communicators. While I have had profound experiences with evidential mediums in other contexts, my encounters with pet psychics have not proven beneficial in locating lost pets. Although some may have had positive outcomes, I have found investing in practical solutions, such as bigger and better signage for generating phone calls about sightings, to be more effective. When your pet is missing, time is of the essence, and having a clear plan can be crucial.
It’s worth noting that some advice from pet psychics may be based on common sense, such as suggesting that your lost dog may head towards water. In many cases, lost dogs are drawn to water sources and found close to where they can access it. I always suggest focusing on tangible strategies that bring tangible results.
**Can a thermal drone effectively track a lost pet in dense, leaf-covered wooded areas?**
We frequently receive this inquiry, especially during the time of year when trees are in full leaf. To address this, we invite you to watch the accompanying video for a demonstration.
In short, the answer is YES, but the reality is more nuanced. While it is challenging, it is indeed possible and we have successfully done it on numerous occasions. Effective tracking in such environments requires slower flight, repeated searches of the same area, keen observation, and proficiency with the drone technology being used.
Certain conditions can make tracking easier, such as when the pet is moving rather than stationary. A stationary animal might be obscured by multiple layers of canopy and could be missed unless viewed from various angles. Conversely, moving animals tend to catch the eye more readily and find more openings in the foliage than stationary ones.
In the example shown below, I successfully tracked a moving dog through dense canopy and even located it after it stopped moving. This demonstrates that with the right pilot and favorable conditions, tracking through dense cover is achievable.
It's important to note that the chances of missing an animal under heavy canopy are higher, but with careful flying and refined search techniques, a skilled pilot can significantly reduce the risk and increase the likelihood of a successful rescue.

**Here’s how our search process works:**
1. **Thermal Detection:** Our drone uses thermal technology to detect heat signatures on the ground. When something is detected on the thermal camera, we switch to the zoom RGB camera for identification. Sometimes, the detected heat source turns out to be something else, like a different animal or a rock.
2. **GPS Pinpointing:** Once we identify your dog, the drone uses its attached rangefinder to mark the GPS location. This pinpoint generates GPS coordinates that create a QR code. You can scan this QR code with your camera (I’ll assist you with this). Google Maps will then open and show you your dog's location. As you head to that location, I’ll continue to fly the drone overhead to monitor your dog's movements and communicate any changes in position.
**Important Disclaimers:**
- **Success Rate:** Not every search is successful. Reasons include your dog traveling far beyond the search area. Dogs can cover many miles quickly, and our drone can search approximately 1/2 - 3/4 mile in each direction from a given location. Sometimes further if it is flatter and more wide open. Additionally, if your pet is hiding under something like a deck or inside a structure such as a barn, the drone cannot see through walls. However, if your dog is outside and visible from the air, there is a high probability we will spot them. By the number, we have found 50% of the pets we search for. Of the 50% we DON'T find the majority of them have went miles outside of the range of the drone and are found miles away by a good samaritan. Some have been hiding underneath a deck or in another dog's dog house (3 so far in 2024). One was picked up by a stranger and given away to someone only to be returned when the new "owner" took it to a vet and scanned the dog for a chip which led to it being reunited.
The upside of the downside: Even with unsuccessful searches, knowing where your dog ISN'T is also helpful in searching for your lost pet.
These are called negative searches.
- **Optimal Search Times:** The best times to search are on cloudy days or at night. Bright sunshine during the day makes it very challenging to locate your pet due to the way thermal technology works. In the summer months it is better to almost always search at night after the landscape has cooled off. With cats we like to search after midnight due to a cat's tendency to hide from the busy activities of daytime life.
Beware: Another scammer discovered
Good luck struck again yesterday. Dog missing several days and the owner called us in to help find her dog. As soon as we start speaking on the phone to discuss the details out popped her dog from the woods and she was returned safely. This is at least 6 times now in the past month where calling us magically summons their pet. ( 🤫 I know its not real magic ). Glad to have "helped" though 😜
We were contacted by the owner, unfortunately this is a no fly zone and therefore no drones can fly in this area. We heard some good trappers are helping the owner and wish them a quick successful conclusion. 🙏
Vacation week tip:
People pick up lost pets and keep or re-home them more than one would hope.
