This is the best post I have seen about small business. Support us but understand we are doing our best and wear many hats. Sometimes several at the same time. Although the original post was about MAD Macarons it applies to all small businesses I know. Including my own. Thank you Pamela for putting it so well.

Office hours is the period of time that I will regularly check emails, messages and voicemail to serve our customers.

Although I am often able to respond some after these times, it isn’t guaranteed. I do want to bring attention to the importance of understanding small business operations.

I am the baker, the packager, the accountant, the delivery-man, the cashier, the manager, the web designer … I think you get the point. Almost every small business owner you know is wearing multiple hats and working long hours.

So, when you call me and I can’t answer—leave a nice message with your name, number and a good time to call you back. Maybe even a little about why you’re calling so I can grab anything I may need to help. I WILL respond that business day or Monday morning if over the weekend.

If you have an issue with an order, call or message our contacts directly for the fastest possible response and solution. These issues of course have priority and will be addressed quickly and fairly.

If you have an idea for a custom order, contact us as early as possible from the date you need it so we can get you the best price and make sure my calendar is open. As we move into our commercial building custom orders may stop completely until we are settled so anything not on the calendar may not get to be added.

As always I love and appreciate all my customers and want to offer the best possible service and products. I work long hours, I miss events with family, and I honestly don’t work for a paycheck right now. I pour everything into this company, as do many small business owners. So please be considerate to their time, business hours, and services.
