From our Executive Director, Jennifer Reichek: I was excited to participate in a roundtable discussion hosted by U. S. Rep. Lizzie Fletcher of TX07 with women leaders in Houston to hear the United States Trade Representative (USTR), Ambassador Katherine Tai when she was in Houston. We convened to mark Women’s History Month and talk trade in and beyond.

As neo-Nazis plan a day of hate targeted at Jews across the country this Shabbat, we — alongside our allies and partners — are here to bring the light, together.

NCJW Houston partnered with Congregation Emanu El for a very successful ReproShabbat breakfast at Kenny & Ziggy's. Panelists, Rabbi Josh Fixler, Dr. Beth Merfish, and Emily Bourgeois spoke about the state of maternal health in Houston and in Texas. They also discussed current bills being proposed in the current legislative session in Austin.

NCJW is proud to be in partnership with governors from CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, MA, MI, ME, MN, NC, NJ, NM, OR, NY, PA, WA, WI to launch the Reproductive Freedom Alliance, a multi-state coalition focused on protecting and expanding reproductive freedom.
