Aesthete
Aesthete is where science and luxury meet!
Aesthete has a genuine desire to enhance your self-image and confidence, no matter your age or gender, by delivering results-driven, quality care with state-of-the-art equipment through our highly trained staff.
LLLT (Low-Level-Light Therapy) utilizing LED technology was initially researched by NASA. In zero-gravity, cellular aging happens at a massively accelerated rate, so the space agency looked for therapies to counteract this. Irradiating cells with light at very specific wavelengths was shown to stimulate the cells’ mitochondria (their energy-generating centres or ‘batteries’) and kick-start biochemical changes in a process called ‘photobiomodulation’. More energy in your cells means more cellular repair and regeneration, and an improved ability to fight decline, damage, and disease.
One way to enhance and keep your results from microneedling is to use vitamin A (retinoids) and vitamin C. Vitamin C stimulates collagen production while vitamin C helps you make and store it.
The source recommends three weeks to three months to achieve these numbers but why stop there? We are continually producing less and less collagen as we age so staying on these products afterwards will also help you keep the results longer. Also why wouldn’t you want more results from the investment you’ve made? They are also important for so many other reasons!
You can’t use them for 3 to 4 days post procedure but during your treatment series you’ll be using them rest of the time.
My favorites are Alto and Alpharet by 🙌🏻

💉 Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin. Safe on all skin types! Said it before but I’ll say it again, book your microneedling asap!
A device with fine needles creates tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin, which triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin. Results can include improved texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.
Micropunctures are created using microneedles which produce a controlled skin injury without actually damaging the epidermis.
These microinjuries lead to minimal superficial bleeding and set up a wound healing cascade with release of various growth factors such as platelet derived growth factor, transforming growth factor alpha and beta, connective tissue activating protein, connective tissue growth factor, and fibroblast growth factor (FGF).
The needles also breakdown the old hardened scar strands and allow it to revascularize. Neovascularization and neocollagenesis is initiated by migration and proliferation of fibroblasts and laying down of intercellular matrix.

Matthew brings over eight years of experience to his craft. Years invested in retail, management, education, and clinical services have culminated into the experience of Matthew Miller Skin.
Tired of feeling like he was working at a factory line for beauty, Matthew wanted to create a space that was more personal for his clients. A place where the client’s needs came first, and not the sales quotas from a corporation.
Instead of in and out “cookie cutter” services, he focuses on personalized treatments with in depth analysis and education. The goal is for all clients to leave not only looking good, but feeling special.

People always ask what’s a good place to start?! For someone with fairly normal skin, this is typically the routine (in order), I would suggest!
SWIPE LEFT FOR PM ROUTINE ⬅️⬅️⬅️
AM:
Gentle Cleanser (optional)
Alto by
Trio by
Sunbetter SPF by (tinted if you wanna skin the need for makeup)
PM:
Gentle Cleanser
Alto by
Alpharet Overnight Cream by
Trio by
This is a fantastic place to start and has the essentials in it!
✨ Cleanser, Vitamin C (alto), Vitamin A (alpharet), Mouisturizer and SPF (Sunbetter)!
🧼 Cleanser to remove germs, bacteria, makeup etc.
🍊 Vitamin C to help protect us from the sun, free radicals, ozone, blue light and of course to help store/make collagen.
🥕 Vitamin A to stimulate collagen production, retexturize, help with acne, help with fine lines and wrinkles and help even skin tone. The bonus of ALPHARET is that it also includes glycolic acid, lactic acid, calming neuropeptides, all without the irritation! It also is Retinoic Acid, NOT A RETINOL, so you’re getting prescription strength without the prescription and without the side effects!
🧴 Moisturizer to keep your skin barrier intact, as well as hydrate your skin! Barrier is essential to skin health!
☀️ Lastly, and most importantly, SPF to protect you from the sun!

La Mer with no clinical trials, published tests, or before & after photos, has people paying hundreds of dollars on basically Nivea cream! has been touted also as an anti-aging product, a Miracle Broth which has no evidence of these claims.
I think a large part of looking younger, is being properly moisturized/hydrated, as the outer layer of the epidermis will swell with moisture, improving the look of fine lines/wrinkles. Plus, mineral oil will make it feel hydrated and smooth, when it’s not.
So other than being hydrated, for $300+, nothing special! You could buy something way less expensive to get the job done but it's container won't be as pretty, or “used” by celebrities.
Also, the fact there are no photos of the inventor of this creme, who was burned all over his body (face specifically) and used the creme to heal it, seems sketchy to me! Also wouldn’t it be in every burn ward around the world?
Part of their process of making this “miracle broth” is playing bubbling/gurgling sounds (of the broth) & flashing lights while they ferment. That’s what you’re paying for.
Max Huber was a German-born aerospace physicist, who supposedly suffered severe burns in a lab explosion in the 1950s while working on a rocket stabilizer. He spent the next 12 years experimenting with Macrocystis pyrifera, a variety of kelp found in the ocean near his California home, until he finally created an elixir that healed his wounds & restored his skin to such lustrous health that all evidence of the accident was erased. Huber started selling his creation, Crème de la Mer (you know, Cream of the Sea), in 1965; after his death in 1991, Estée Lauder purchased the brand from Huber's daughter. There are no records of his accident at NASA (which somewhere along the way became name-dropped as his employer; he actually worked for an aerospace company called Cal-Val Research & Development Corp.).

Vitiligo is a long-term skin condition characterized by patches of the skin losing their pigment. The patches of skin affected become white and usually have sharp margins. Typically both sides of the body are affected. Often the patches begin on areas of skin that are exposed to the sun. Globally about 1% of people are affected. Vitiligo can be cosmetically very disabling, particularly in people with dark skin. It is not contagious.
The exact cause of vitiligo is unknown. It is believed to be due to genetic susceptibility that is triggered by an environmental factor such that an autoimmune disease. Low levels of vitamin D have been observed in vitiligo & with other autoimmune diseases. Therefore, the relationship between vitamin D & vitiligo needs to be investigated more thoroughly.
Topical tx for vitiligo include corticosteroid creams (for short periods of time), calcineurin inhibitors and tacrolimus ointment, experimental treatment with topical ruxolitinib, a Janus kinase inhibitor, shows great promise for facial vitiligo.
Phototherapy refers to tx w/ ultraviolet radiation. Whole-body or localised broadband or narrowband (311 nm) UVB, Excimer laser UVB (308 nm) or targeted UVB for small areas of vitiligo. Oral, topical, or bathwater photochemotherapy (PUVA). In-office or home phototherapy.
Systemic tx may include mini-pulses of oral steroids, methotrexate, ciclosporin, mycophenolate mofetil, minocycline, tetracycline & subcutaneous afamelanotide. It is anticipated that monoclonal antibody biologic agents will be developed to treat vitiligo.
Surgical tx for stable & segmental vitiligo requires removal of the top layer of vitiligo skin & replacement w/ pigmented skin removed from another site.
Depigmentation therapy, using monobenzyl ether of hydroquinone, may be considered in severely affected individuals. Michael Jackson was reported to have had this done.
Topical bimatoprost ophthalmic solution shows promise as a novel treatment for localized, stable vitiligo, a small pilot study suggests. Microneedling may also be beneficial to repigment the skin.

I’ve said it once but I’ll say it again because people don’t seem to be listening lol!
All these green/clean beauty brands are just trying to scare you! It’s a marketing tactic. That’s it! So when you see reps or anyone else saying you put on 60 chemicals a day, it’s total BS!
If you see someone using the (environmental working group) as a source, it’s not true.
We are made up of chemicals, everything is made up of chemicals. Without chemicals we wouldn’t exist. Water is a chemical (water + oxygen), you can die from drinking too much water 😲 look it up.
When we look at the chemical makeup of a banana it’s made up of a variety of chemicals, naturally. has gotten out of hand.
So please, don’t worry about your skincare being poisonous or dangerous. Don’t fall prey to surrounding chemicals. If a brand is telling you what’s not in it, as opposed to what’s actually in it…. Huge 🚩🚩🚩
If an ingredient is “dangerous” please remember the dose makes the poison. And they are highly regulated and wouldn’t be on the shelves if they were dangerous. Cosmetic chemists aren’t out to get us 🤦🏼♀️ in fact it’s the opposite.
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND END THE MADNESS 🗣🗣🗣
Ok maybe it’s not this dramatic 🤣 but we feel this deep in our souls! If you don’t wear spf, the rest is pointless!!! As would say “WEAR THE DAMN SUNSCREEN!”
Esties - can you relate to this meme? What could a client say to you to make you feel this way lol?!
Not even an opinion, it’s a fact! PARABENS ARE NOT DANGEROUS! Scaremongering, 1 STUDY, and green beauty, has made you believe that they are! Most people aren’t going to do the research to see that scientifically Parabens have been proven SAFE! Did you know blueberries naturally have parabens in them!?
“Critics accuse parabens of easily penetrating through the skin and harm our reproductive system, cause breast cancer, cause premature aging, accumulate in the body till they reach a dangerous level that can cause all the issues above and more.”
So, let’s debunk this in regards to skincare!
“Critics accuse parabens of mimicking estrogen, causing all sorts of issues to our, and our men’s, reproductive system, including reducing s***m count. Their source is a 1998 study titled “Some Al kyl Hydroxy Benzoate Preservatives (Parabens) Are Estrogenic.
The study was performed on rats. We’re not rats. The rats either ate the parabens or were injected with them. We don’t eat cosmetics or inject them into our bodies. The dose of parabens given to the rats is 4000 higher than those used in cosmetics. Anything at a high enough dose will harm you.
The results? Butylparaben & methylparaben showed NO estrogenic activity. Other parabens showed a VERY weak estrogenic activity.
And that at incredibly high doses. Only minuscule quantities of parabens are used in cosmetics. For example, less than 0.19% of butylparaben is present in a moisturizer, & only 4% of that pe*****tes the skin.
Not convinced yet? There are 3 studies (all reliable ones, this time) that claim parabens do NOT mimic estrogen! They’re all ignored in favour of the only one that’s flawed!
Your body naturally gets rid of all the parabens that manage to pe*****te through the skin within 36 hours.
The EU’s SCCS, which is made of INDEPENDENT experts, investigated the case further. They concluded that parabens are SAFE for use in cosmetics.
WHAT ABOUT PARABENS ALTERNATIVES? Those that are as effective, like formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, are harsher & even more controversial. Those that are gentle, & even natural, either protect against bacteria OR fungi, not both.”

Microneedling may sound scary but it’s my favorite treatment, and with numbing a very comfortable one!
They say one microneedling treatment is equivalent to a years loss of collagen 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Also, in a study, participants did for microneedling treatments a month apart and checked back in six months later and they all had a 400% increase in collagen and elastin!!!! Sign me up now!
Treats fine lines, wrinkles, texture, scarring and more! All with minimal social downtime! It’s also safe on all ski types!

When this client first came in she was very frustrated with her skin and wasn’t seeing results from anything she was trying. I suspected most of her acne was actually do to possible rosacea.
As you can see by just treating her skin properly she got major improvement in her skin! She continued to get facials and we’ve changed her routine as it improved. She’s still using a product to address possible rosacea and I put her on routine and her skin has never looked better!
I love when when I can help people change their skin and improve their confidence!
THIS IS MY ACTUAL CLIENT, THIS PHOTO IS USED WITH HER PERMISSION. PLEASE DO NOT USE WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR CREDIT.
HAPPY NATIONAL AESTHETICIAN’S DAY!
This year, as I reflect on my over 12 year journey, I feel extra blessed to be where I am! It’s now been over a year since I started , started it during a pandemic and it’s thriving! But I wouldn’t be where I am without the love and support of my IG family! I am truly thankful for all the blessings IG has brought to my life. Real life friends, business partners, supporters, clients and so much more! I would not be where I am today without all of you!
Thank you for helping my dreams come true, to be able to be an aesthetician and help people transform their skin! This has been a long road that has been filled with ups and downs. Quitting jobs, getting fired, thinking I wasn’t a good esthetician, questioning my love for the industry, all played a role in where I am today. So if your an aesthetician and you’re struggling, just know this down will only help bring you to your up! Keep going, because this truly is the most rewarding and fulfilling jobs!
Man this couldn’t be more true 🤣🤣🤣
