Outside our little church stands a monument to those who gave so much. It reads:
“Erected as a perpetual monument to the soldiers and sailors of Andalusia who died that their fellow men might live in liberty, and to the others, no less valiant, who lived to see the coming of victory, and now serve God and country in the paths of peace.”
On the 100th anniversary of the armistice of the Great War, we remember them and we pray for peace in our world.
THIS DAY in 1885:
While the King Library was starting to take shape in our community, the Statue of Liberty arrived in New York on the French steamer "Isere". Shipped across the Atlantic Ocean in 350 individual pieces, the statue was a gift from the people of France to the people of America to signify everlasting friendship between the two nations.

The plaque reades:

Inside and Around the Library
What a wonderful and spiritual evening we had with Spiritman Joseph Tittel last night at the Library! Thank you for helping others reconnect with their loved ones!
During a recent examination of the library's portrait of Dr. King, it was discovered that the portrait was created by American painter, Robert Hinckley who painted the portraits of over 300 prominent Americans in Washington D.C. during the early 20th century.
The King Library is always the perfect spot to watch the Bensalem Memorial Day Parade! Thank you to those who served and those who are still serving our country.
