Su***de Prevention Each year, You Mean More hosts the annual Su***de Prevention Walk, supporting the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP).
The response has been incredible. Last year, we had over 600 participants and we were able to raise more than $30,000, more than any other California AFSP campus walk. Our walk raised funds that supported programs like the newly implemented Interactive Screening Program (ISP), which is being used right here at Cal to help more students get the support they need. Crisis Support Services of Alameda County’s Healing Hearts 1 Mile LIVE FunRun and Fitness Walk for Su***de Prevention at Laney College or Healing Hearts VIRTUAL 5K Walk/Run for Su***de Prevention are two events happing this week!!
These two events raise awareness to the tragedy of su***de, help reduce the stigma associated with depression and mental illness, educate the community about available services, support local su***de prevention programs, and provide a safe place to heal for those who have lost loved ones to su***de as a community.
Live Event: Saturday, May 7th, 9am, at the athletic field at Laney College in Oakland, CA

Every year, our organization partners with to put on a campus walk to show solidarity and support for su***de victims, survivors, and their loved ones. If you, or someone you know, has been affected by mental illness, we invite you to join us in our fight to prevent su***de.
