Unfortunately, phishing is a common security threat our students face. Cybercriminals will send an email or even text that appears to be from a legitimate company and will ask for sensitive information. It’s a good thing we have Berkeley brains to learn how to prevent being scammed! 🐻🧠 Here are some basic email cybersecurity tips to keep in mind:

📧 Be cautious of emails from unknown senders
📧 Check if the email was sent from an official .edu address
📧 Never send personal information or money to unknown senders
📧 Check if the receiving person differs from the sender
📧 Check the time the email was sent

The Campus Tech Job Fair introduces undergraduate, graduate and professional students to 300+ student jobs in areas such as business, marketing, customer service, data analysis, user experience (UI/UX), technology consulting and more across campus IT.
