🌞🎨 Summer school at Berwyn North School District 98 is a blast this year! Our students are thriving in the super fun Fine Arts program, exploring Mariachi, arts, hat design, hip hop, Tae Kwon Do, dance, and so much more! Plus, our "Habla Program" for our Dual Language Students. We’re learning, creating, and having the time of our lives! 🎉🌟

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, is an annual holiday celebrated on June 19th. It commemorates the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally received the news of their emancipation, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

Juneteenth is a time to reflect on the struggles, resilience, and achievements of African Americans throughout history. It is a day to honor the contributions they have made to society. It serves as a reminder of the ongoing fight for equality and justice.

Some of the Berwyn North Advanced students enjoyed a fantastic Saturday field trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo! They had a blast seeing the animals and exhibits, making many wonderful memories with friends. 🐾🦁
