Yesterday, nearly 1,000 Greyhounds came together in a truly special way for one of the largest volunteer efforts in the 💙

The heart and dedication shown on Heritage Day made a real difference for so many local organizations, and we’re thrilled to have contributed to a lasting impact in the community. Thank you to everyone who lent a hand and shared their kindness.

Moravian University Dance Company manager Sam Anderson ’13 is set to perform an aerial dance at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Anderson, a member of Aerial Mind, an aerial dance troupe from the Lehigh Valley, will help present the world premiere of ‘Aqua Connection’ on September 21 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. 🎪

Moravian University is partnering with CITYarts to bring a Bethlehem Peace Mural to Bernie Fritz Park. 🎨 Created entirely by Bethlehem community members, mostly students from 4th to 12th grade, this mural is part of the "50 States of Peace" project and will be unveiled this Saturday, September 7.

🗣️ “The mural gives the community a place to gather to celebrate and be reminded of the importance of peace, both in our communities and worldwide.” — Cathy Coyne, associate professor of public health and co-chair of the project.

This week President Grigsby and his family shared the news that their beloved greyhound and longtime Moravian mascot, Mo, had passed away.

Rest easy, Mo. You will be forever missed, but never forgotten. Once a Greyhound, always a Greyhound. 💙

President Bryon Grigsby represented Bethlehem at the 60th anniversary of its Sister City relationship with Tondabayashi, Japan. 🇯🇵 The celebration featured a tree planting ceremony symbolizing the enduring friendship between the two cities, and marked 30 years of academic partnership between Moravian University and Osaka Ohtani University. 🌍

Huge congratulations to Assistant Professor of Biology, Dr. Sara McClelland, for receiving a $500,000+ National Science Foundation (NSF) grant for her research on microplastics and amphibians! 🎉 This funding will support groundbreaking research and offer amazing hands-on opportunities for our students. 🌟🦎

It was a wonderful morning in the City of Bethlehem as the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage inscription of Moravian Church Settlements - Bethlehem was recognized at Bethlehem City Hall ⛪️. Mayor Reynolds spoke at the press conference event that highlighted the more than 20-year World Heritage journey for Moravian Church Settlements — Bethlehem. 🙌

Nicole Loyd, Executive Vice President for University Life, Chief Operating Officer & Dean of Students, represented President Grigsby this morning. Moravian University is proud to stand as only the second university in the country and eighth university in the world to be a part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 🌟

Congratulations to Moravian Church Settlements - Bethlehem!

We are thrilled to announce that we have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site! President Grigsby and Mayor Reynolds were in New Delhi, India to hear the news in person. We are incredibly proud of this recognition and invite you all to discover the rich history and culture that make our Moravian community so special.

Moravian University will be the second university in the United States to be named and the eighth university in the world to have World Heritage recognition.
