Today, while we remember the 6 million Jews that perished in the Holocaust, I am also honoring my parents who survived. They survived by standing against ignorance, hate, bigotry and oppression. Their perseverance defined them in many facets of their lives, including the loving parents they were to my brother and me and, in turn, the parents we are to our families.
My father recently celebrated 101 years surrounded by not only the reminder in the photo, but his family. The following are a few highlights of my mother who sadly passed away ten years ago today. She was one of the fortunate one's to have survived Auschwitz.

In my professional life the results are not subjective - my ‘art’ must be subtle and not distracting. Whereas, in photography I strive to find subjects and compositions that standout. This group caught my eye as they engaged in similar activities unaware of each other or as I see it, together yet alone.

This 36 years young patient was dissatisfied with the loss of volume to her breast, primarily to the upper pole area post pregnancy. During her consultation we used the Vectra 3D Imaging machine to determine the best implant size to substantially increase her breast size while maintaining a natural balance to her frame. She underwent a dual plane Breast Augmentation with 445cc smooth, round moderate profile implants. This after photos were taken four months post surgery. She is thrilled with her results and revealed that she is feeling more confident than ever!

When patients question why I do not perform BBL procedures for safety reasons, I cite the mortality issues as conveyed by my medical society, the ASPS. Cosmetic procedures or beauty trends should never come at the cost of increased mortality. Patient safety and performing what is appropriate to meet realistic expectations are the corner stone of my ethos and practice.

A year ago I asked ‘How will you celebrate 100?’ Well… he did it surrounded by dear friends and family, that included his two great grandchildren.

A true gentleman that exemplifies the Greatest Generation; a Holocaust Survivor and loving father and grandfather that has certainly contributed to our family’s work ethic and intellectual curiosity. He still enjoys an evening Campari cocktail and reading (or looking through) one of his many books, as well as, loving his family unconditionally. We are proud and thrilled to have the honor of celebrating this milestone.

This lovely patient had saline implants placed on top of the muscle (sub-mammary) about 25 years ago. Over time the shape of her implants distorted and the upper pole because very pronounced as her own breast tissue thinned. I performed a capsulectomy and exchange of implants. A completely new pocket was made under the muscle (sun-muscular) and new smaller silicone gel implants were implanted - 310cc Allergan smooth round, moderate profile implants. Her breasts are softer in both feel and appearance, as well as, her décolletage has a natural looking transition. She is thrilled with results and only regrets waiting so long to have the revision.

Great results don’t just happen, they occur through careful planning, appropriate expectations and post procedure maintenance. I am often asked how long a Face Lift will last. I remind patients that there is not a time frame on results. They are, realistically, dependent on one’s own aging process and post- procedure maintenance. For optimal results a continuance of great skin care, to maintain skin texture and eliminate discoloration, with a balance of Botox to continue correcting fine lines, and fillers, to counteract the loss of volume that naturally occurs with age. This lovely patient, whom I thank for allowing me to share her photographs, is a perfect example of a beautiful post-surgical result that includes great skin care and volume added around her eyes and cheek area without appearing overly done.

This lovely patient was bother by the appearance of her relaxed neckline. However, she did not want to have a traditional Neck Lift, so we opted to perform a less invasive yet very effective procedure; Submental Liposuction. The results speak for themselves; a neck and jawline that appear tighter and better defined making for a more youthful appearance.

Ten months post a Deep Plane Face & Neck Lift. The procedures revealed this patient’s beautiful jawline and gonial angle without injectables. Enlarging the area in front of the ear with injectables often masculinizes a female jawline from the front view (which is rarely shown) in lieu of the natural contour a Face and Neck Lift can reveal. In addition, the distance from her chin to throat was restored to a youthful position. She is as thrilled with her results as I am.

This patient, whom I am grateful to for allowing me to share her photographs, is shown ten months post a Deep Plane Face Lift. Five months post a Breast Augmentation. This lovely patient was not dissatisfied with the size of here breasts, however she was unhappy with the loss of volume in the upper pole area and the mild sagging post pregnancy. After using the Vectra Imaging System, we decided that Allergan silicone smooth moderate profile 255cc implants would meet her goals. I was able to avoid performing a breast lift by choosing the appropriate size implant to reinstate the fullness without adding more volume than she wanted. She is thrilled with her natural looking results.

Patients consistently love their new profile post a Deep Plane Facelift. The repositioning of the underlying muscles that naturally restore the volume where needed, then lifting not pulling the skin into position are key to a natural looking results. During her consultation this 45 years young patient expressed that she was self conscious about the appearance of her breasts post two pregnancies and breast feeding. She underwent a Bilateral Breast Lift with the placement of moderate plus silicone gel implants under the muscle to reinstate the upper pole fullness. Guess who turned 99?
The past two years have been difficult but after surviving WWII he certainly wouldn’t let a pandemic get the best of him. 99 years young and still a Campari sipping, music loving, book reading, Holocaust Survivor who is, most importantly to him, a loving Father, Grandfather and now a Great Grandfather that still likes to be silly and being the center of attention. He exemplifies the Greatest Generation and has definitely contributed to our family’s strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity - I will always remember him conducting ‘the morning science experiment’ and sharing articles from the newspaper and, of course, the laughter and unconditional love he showed to my brother and I growing up and still shows to our families. A Deep Plane Face Lift is the gold standard in creating dramatic yet natural results.
