Well, because I am starting Graduate School at the end of the month.
“WHAAAAT???” you say. “WILL YOU STILL BE TAKING CLIENTS?” you say.
YES! I am still here for your beauty needs, but during the academic year I will be booking SATURDAYS first, and the occasional Friday mornings as needed. . .
“But I need to get in soon!” You say.
No problem. I will be in the salon 9 shifts a week until the end of August Monday-Saturday (never Sundays) .
Many clients got the heads up at their last appointment so some days are already booked! The online portal is up to date and ready to go. If you need help booking, I am a text away! How is your hair?
The Nerrivik Studio just hit the 4 year mark of being in business. Thank you so much for choosing my tiny salon!

It's hard to believe that May is almost here and summer is around the corner. There is no time like the present to come in and get that long over due trim, the usual clean up, or a fresh look for the new season!

I have a SALON SCHEDULE UPDATE for you and some exciting ART NEWS!

SALON SCHEDULE UPDATE
I will be out of the salon today Saturday 4/22/16 and next Friday, but will be in the salon next week Monday-Thursday with extended afternoon hours! About 90% of you book "last minute" or within 48 hours of your desired appointment time, but you might want to on the books a little bit before then as afternoons are popular when they are opened up. Also, I am now able to accommodate afternoon appointments until 5 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

After next week, my hours until June 15th will be as follows:
Monday 9am-2pm
Tuesday 9am -5pm and 7:30pm- 10pm
Wednesday 9am-2pm and 7:30pm-10pm
Thursday 9am-5pm and 7:30pm-10pm
Friday 9am-2pm
Saturday 8am-4pm

The extended hours are up online now. If you should run into any trouble with my booking system, don't hesitate to text me so I can get you on the books. I am available for early morning appointments, but usually need about 72 hour notice.

ART NEWS: RECEPTION FOR COASTAL JOURNAL 5/15
As most of you know I have an avid and life long painting and drawing practice.
Last September I put together a group 37 small paintings and drawings for a collection of work I called Coastal Journal installed at the now closed Canon Club restaurant. This group of original work in watercolor, octopus ink, oil, and graphite were all created directly from life and sketches (not photographs) while traveling through Alaska, California, and Italy from 2005-2015. The restaurant regretfully has closed so all of my paintings are for sale and looking for new homes. The paintings are up and available to see by appointment. Many images of the work are up on my Instagram .roberts.keiner with the hashtag .

I hope you'll join me for a closing reception at for Coastal Journal at the Canon Club space, 338 N Cañon Dr on Sunday May 15 from 3-5pm.

Summer is Here.
How's your hair looking?

The Nerrivik Studio is going very well. A big thank you to my clients who have recently referred their friends, family and colleagues to me. I have been asked a few times if I am taking new clients and the answer is absolutely YES! My tiny salon depends on word of mouth and its modern equivalent, Facebook, Instagram, twitter, and Yelp!

My Instagram feed is very busy with before and after photos, client profiles, and the occasional found image. On a more personal note, I launched an Instagram feed devoted to my art work only: . Please come see what I've been up to!

A quick note about the DROUGHT:
My neighbors in Beverly Hills have been asked to cut their water consumption by over 30%. Please consider using the same method of water use for hair washing as you use for brushing teeth and cleaning your hands. First wet your hair, then turn off the water, shampoo (or better yet use your Purely Perfect Cleansing Creme), turn on the water to rinse, turn the water off to apply the mask or conditioner, turn the water back on rinse! Some shampoos including Phyto are required to sit on the hair for a full 2 minutes. Turning the water off will make an impact over time.

Here are the Summer hours for 2015.
The following times will be available ONLINE until 8/1/15:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday from 9am-4pm
Wednesdays and Thursdays 7:30pm-10pm
Fridays 9am-3pm
Saturday 10am-2pm

The Nerrivik Studio will be closed from 7/3/15-7/11/15

Thanksgiving is Thursday! How is your hair?

I am opening up Monday (tomorrow) in an effort to accommodate those who didn't (or couldn't) prebook an appointment.

Shoot me a text if you'd like one of the 6 appointments I've got left. In addition, my books for December are now open! It would be wise to book now as weekends and evenings book up quickly.

As a reminder, I have always had a 24 cancelation policy. By prebooking an appointment, clients agree to canceling or rescheduling AT LEAST 24 hours before the appointment. Failure to do so will result in a fee.

There will be a minor increase in price for some services moving forward due to an unforeseen increase in my overhead.
