I am Nellie Prestwood, a veteran Jesse Jackson operation Breadbasket inner-city activist from Chicago. Where I volunteered my time to work with our youth. Please forgive me for this. I need help. The song “Glory” states, “the energy of the youth.”

I am also 30-something yrs. a veteran of the music industry. I am reaching out to the industry artists because our children are at risk Black and Brown let Fat Joe, and DJ Khaled know. America has fallen from 1 to 38 globally in early education. Please hear this early education is the path to literacy for every child. I’ve used all of my God-given gifts and talents I was a visual communication designer. For Diane Warren, Berry Gordy and Michael Jackson I designed their Billboard ads, Including Ringo Starr’s LaserDisc cover.

For Donna Summer I designed her Blue Suede dress and wardrobe for herself named album cover. Fashion stylist for Bob Dylan, Cameo, Lionel Richie, Neil Diamond, and Prince, and others. I also have a Donna Summer RollingStone cover story from my Casablanca Records days.

In 2012 I had and epiphany when a song from my past invaded my consciousness and inspired my design of what I call Teachable Clothing.Com®™ have a look at our “Teach Me Tees” & Word Shirt Tees” and Text me back with any feedback. Mississippi Mass Choir - God Is Keeping Me

Oh no, It's been so long. Philip, The last time I saw you were in Japan in 1994. Donna Summer's. We had just completed our Christmas tour there the night before. Donna and I were leaving the hotel in Japan, and I was headed for Chicago for my annual Christmas Holiday. After calling my mother every night when I was on the road with anyone artist. It is one of the rules that my mother had for me. So I called her every night when I was safely in my hotel room after each show; I saw you that day. I felt kind of good seeing your crew. Maybe it was just a feeling of seeing some friendly faces at that time. My mother had her home-going. But Philip, 9 yrs had passed since I'd worked with Donna.

I must say I was a little surprised to get that call. I didn't know it then, but later I realized but knew that I knew that there are no coincidences in life. Only God works anonymously to direct us to His purpose for our lives. Hey Verdine White, I see you there, so is this something new in the industry? I've heard artists now have their aircraft, but if you two were flying the plane, oh no, no, no. This meaning was the second-best meeting I'd ever had with Earth Wind & Fire. It will be a mine blower we all first met at Rev. Jesse Jackson and the first Black Expo in Chicago.

God knew I would need a doctor and someone to go to Chicago with me. 'That I would need money, and I still had my float money for Donna. I was medicated. God said how else I would have covered you, my child. I then knew why Donna had been a part of my life. She had her purpose in me, and all my needs were met I the hotel doctor. Her work with the great designer Bill Whitten had her "Dancing on the Ceiling" as a stylist for Lionel Richie. Bill also included her with Neil Diamond Christmas Special.

Tom Frye, a friend, called her to work with Lenny Williams. She said it was a step into her past position pr calling the press and industry rags like Billboard etc. They gave her some traction with Lenny Williams and Kanya West single. Next, Nellie had to acquire some tour dates. That was a whole new game for her. She landed an international tour date with God's favor and grace's help. Michael Jackson, The King of Pop, entrusted her to use her gifts and talents. She designed and illustrated his Billboard and Daily Variety ads. Michael also used her talent and skills to curate his 1993 induction into The Guinness World Books of Records Museum on The Hollywood Walk of Fame. With exterior poster design including the interior exhibition displays of the best selling album ever Thriller.

Last but not least, a stylist for a "Prince" working with Prince a style-setter and his spin-out group "FAMILY." Her legendary cast of stars includes Beatles Sir Ringo Starr. She designed his first LaserDisc cover. "Nellie said she felt privileged to have designed and illustrated an album cover for Wynton Marsalis, the first jazz composer to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music, with some of his trumpeter predecessors. As a creative, gifted designer, and fashion stylist, Nellie's career that's stood the test of time spanned the top fields of entertainment for decades.
