July 24 is the feast day of St. Charbel Makhlouf, a Maronite Catholic priest, monk, and hermit known for working miracles both during his life and after his death. He is also honored for his work in uniting Christians and Muslims in the Middle East.
St. Charbel's tomb has been a site for pilgrimages since his death. Hundreds of miracles are believed to have occurred through his intercession with God, both in Lebanon and around the world. 🙏

A summertime prayer for parents 💙
The feast day of Our Lady, Mother of Divine Grace, is July 23. There are many titles for our Blessed Mother Mary, and many prayers we can pray to ask for her intercession: https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/devotions/marian-prayers-72
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us!
“To the ends of the earth.”
And that concludes the 10th National Eucharistic Congress.
Now we go forth.
This was a beautiful week. Absolutely beautiful. No words can capture it.
Our cups were filled. We laughed. We cried (a lot). We encountered the greatest gift ever given, Jesus in the Eucharist.
And now it’s time to make a gift of our own lives.
We are not our own.
May we go forth today with zeal for the Lord and with a firm resolve to bring others to His loving gaze.
May we go forth today with a commitment to love — to truly will the good of others. To put everything under the aegis of love.
May we go forth today with an infusion of the Holy Spirit, knowing that we are sent. Sent to be gift. To the ends of the earth.
God bless you all. The best is yet to come.
Why does the Church celebrate Saint Mary Magdalene?
The Church celebrates St. Mary Magdalene because of her example of virtue and loyalty to Christ. She was a devoted disciple and close friend of Jesus during the time of His ministry, and one of the few who remained with Him during His agony on the Cross. Finally, she was one of the three women who went to anoint His body in the tomb on Easter morning, becoming the first person to announce the Resurrection to others, when she went and told the Apostles that He had risen.

On the final day of the National Eucharistic Congress, His Eminence Luis Cardinal Tagle celebrated the closing Mass and delivered a homily reminding participants that “the gift of His presence and love for us will be our gift to people. …A Eucharistic people is a missionary and evangelizing people.”
May the Holy Spirit continue to work through the Eucharistic Revival as we enter the Year of Missionary Sending!

This week, the Marian Route moved through the Archdiocese of Chicago. Mass and a Eucharistic procession were held at Mundelein Seminary, site of the concluding Mass for the 1926 International Eucharistic Congress. The Polish, Hispanic, Asian, Syro-Malabar, and Black Catholic communities in Chicago all hosted Eucharistic celebrations throughout the week. Over the weekend, the Archdiocese hosted a Morning of Service and Adoration at many sites throughout Chicago, and Cardinal Cupich celebrated Mass before leading a beautiful Eucharistic procession around Holy Name Cathedral.
The Serra Route spent time in Kansas and Missouri this week! This included a visit to Benedictine College in Atchison, where 1,000 people participated in a Eucharistic procession. A series of "Evenings of Eucharistic Amazement" were also hosted throughout the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.
The Juan Diego Route moved through the Diocese of Nashville this week, making visits to numerous historic churches throughout the city. The Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia hosted a beautiful Mass on the grounds of their Motherhouse. The Pilgrimage then moved into the Diocese of Owensboro, where numerous Masses and processions have taken place, including a special visit to the Fathers of Mercy in Auburn. This route heads to the Archdiocese of Louisville next!
The Seton Route journeyed through the Diocese of Columbus and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati this week, which included a visit to the Pickaway Correctional Institution, where 35 incarcerated men attended Mass and 25 participated in a Eucharistic procession. This route also visited and prayed with residents at the Mother Angeline McCrory Center, a senior community under the direction of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm.
Jesus continues to pour out abundant graces upon our land as all four routes of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage inch ever closer to Indianapolis. There, they will converge in just TWO WEEKS for the 10th National Eucharistic Congress!
