Today the National Institutes of Health has announced that UAB’s own Jeanne Marrazzo, M.D., has been selected to succeed Anthony Fauci, M.D., as the next director of NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) this fall.
This is a great opportunity for Dr. Marrazzo to make a big difference to the country, and it is indicative of the high regard that exists for both her and UAB. While we are sad to see her go, we are delighted that Jeanne has been called to this national service and we are proud to count her as one of us at UAB.

Pamela Josey, owner and therapist at Intuitive Touch Bodywork. Established in 2007 this independently owned small business in the Magic City is here to offer you one of the best in Birmingham area.
This is not a massage therapy chain where you receive a 50 minute service (while paying the price of 60) so that the therapist can rush to get the next person on the table at the top of the hour. Appointments are booked with 30 minutes between them to allow time for individualized pre & post care chat about your needs for that session, how you feel afterwards, and ideas for self care at home & work (if this is something you wish to do).
I like to take my time, ask questions, get to know you and provide you with the best individualized service possible. Over 10 years experience, providing exceptional, skilled massage delivered with the utmost compassion and respect for each situation.
My office is in a quiet, peaceful space shared with a few other small businesses. Using only the highest quality, organic (mostly) massage products, essential & CBD oils. There are no extra charges for specialized work and/or enhancements to your service, such as deep tissue massage, massage cupping, hot stones or essential oils.
When you have an appointment with me, you get all my knowledge, skills and tools for the same price. Clients come for massage therapy many reasons, help with pain relief - chronic pain from arthritis, muscle stiffness and tension due to sitting at a computer or physical labor, soreness from working out, motor vehicle accidents, improper posture etc. Some come strictly for relaxation. They enjoy the down time and mental and physical rejuvenation that massage therapy can offer.
All who come find themselves in a safe place where they can let go of their worries and be treated professionally by a caring and experienced massage therapist.
“No pain no gain” is not what I practice. Although I am capable of very specific, deep work. I believe every massage should have an element of rest and relaxation whether that is the main goal or an aid in the deep tissue process.
All massage services are offered in 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute sessions. Same day appointments are always possible. Never hesitate to text and ask. 205.999.8376
