As 2023 concluded, we’d like to take a moment to reflect. We are proud to say that in 2023 we experienced record leasing activity across our 25 communities and acquired one new property, Theater Street in Lafayette, LA. We also completed renovations at Landmark Apartments, , , , and .

Additionally, we promoted several positions internally and transitioned many from part-time to full-time. Rachel Zaunbrecher at was named our Community Manager of the Year, and Matthew Yates at Landmark Apartments and was named our Maintenance Supervisor of the Year! We appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to another strong year as we move into 2024.

CREI has closed on the acquisition of Haven12, an off-campus student housing community located within close proximity of the Mississippi State University campus.

Constructed in 2015, this mid-rise student focused community features 152 fully furnished units in 2, 3, & 4 bedroom configurations. Floor plans range in size from a 907 SF 2 bedroom to a 1490 SF 4 bedroom. In addition to its highly desirable location, Haven12 offers residents access to several community amenities such as a large resort style pool, clubhouse with a fitness center and a dog park. With these attributes in mind, in addition to a planned rebrand and property renovation, CREI views Haven12 as a strong addition to the growing CREI a portfolio.

CREI has closed on the acquisition of The Tyler Indianapolis, an off-campus student housing community located within close proximity of the Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis campus & downtown Indianapolis. This purchase represents the first CREI project located within the state of Indiana.

Constructed in 2011, this mid-rise student focused community features 260 fully furnished units in 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom configuration. Floor plans range in size from a 492 SF 1-bedroom to a 1,551 SF 4-bedroom townhome. In addition to its highly desirable location, The Tyler offers residents access to several unique community amenities, such as a resort-style heated saltwater pool, clubhouse with fitness center and a rooftop grilling and lounge area. With these attributes in mind, in addition to a planned rebrand and property renovation, CREI views The Tyler as a strong addition to the growing CREI portfolio.

Being a Maintenance Supervisor is often a thankless job, but Damiene takes great pride in his work, never settling for anything less than the best with a smile on his face. He’s adaptable, extremely organized, and keeps the property sparkling clean in addition to setting industry standards, both in his market and CREI-wide. One resident even said they would be renewing based on their morning coffee talks!
