Happy Halloween! Be safe out there.
On Halloween, the scariest thing should be your costume, not the road. Set your route beforehand, stay focused, and arrive at your destination safely.
Remember, Halloween is about fun and treats, so let’s make sure it’s a safe and fang-tastic night for everyone! 🦇🎃

Keep up to date on road reports with the North Dakota Department of Transportation
UPDATED (October 26, 5:30 p.m.) The Travel Alert has been extended to northeastern North Dakota due to accumulating snow, icy road conditions, and reduced visibility.
If you must travel, please slow down and drive for the conditions.
For the latest road conditions, visit travel.dot.nd.gov or download the ND Roads app.
It's coming!.....Seriously snow is coming. Make sure you read these tips below and are prepared.
Y'all ready for this? ❄️ If you're not, today's the day -- especially if you're in western ND. Put the emergency kit back in your car and refresh any food, water or batteries that may be old. Download the ND Roads app. It's time to winter up.
Be on the lookout for snow coming to a city you might be traveling too. Give CMV's additional room during winter weather.
Some portions of northwestern North Dakota have a high potential for receiving at least 8 inches of snow from late tonight through late Thursday night. While some areas don’t fall under these categories, much of the rest of the state is still likely to receive accumulating snow.
Have you ordered your wreath to honor a veteran on National Wreaths Across America Day? Each wreath costs $17 and also helps support NDMCA.
Remember Honor Teach this year by sponsoring a wreath for North Dakota's Veterans Cemetery or Arlington National Cemetery. Lets fill that truck!

Scott Meyers of Fargo, North Dakota, was the Flatbed division winner and Grand Champion at the North Dakota Truck Driving Championship June 10 at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo. Meyer also teamed with fellow FedEx Freight drivers Christopher Scholand (3 axle), David Comings (4 axle), Ronald Ackerland (tank truck) and last year’s winner and Grand Champion Tyler Tollefson (straight truck) to win the team competition. Brady Bebeau, FedEx Express driver from Grand Forks was the step van winner and Rookie of the Year.
The North Dakota Motor Carriers Association (NDMCA) crowned nine class champions and presented the awards at a banquet following the competition at Hilton Garden Inn in Fargo. More than 40 drivers competed in the event held annually. The NDMCA also hosted a Safety Expo and Touch a Truck event in conjunction with the competition.
Drivers were tested on their driving expertise, inspection skills, overall knowledge and professionalism. Drivers took a written examination and pre-trip inspection test and went through a live skills test. The skills course tested drivers’ ability to judge distances, maneuver tight spaces, reverse, park and position their vehicle exactly over scales, before barriers or around curves.
“The Truck Driving Championships give our professional drivers an opportunity to demonstrate the skills they use on the job every day,” North Dakota Motor Carriers Association Administrator Kacey Heidrich said. “Those placing here are among the best drivers on the road – anywhere.”
Class champions qualify for the National Truck Driving Championship Aug. 16-19 in Columbus, Ohio.
