In 2023, 11.5 pounds of beauty waste from my salon was recovered and recycled, and a total of 1,017,917 pounds of waste was collected from the entire Green Circle Salon community!

11.5 pounds of beauty waste looks like:

5.5 pounds of metals = a possible 1.6 bikes created

This may be due to the changing weather. As the temps start dropping, and we turn on the furnace, we lose precious moisture in the air around us, which affects our skin, scalp, and hair. So how can we mitigate moisture loss, and protect our skin, scalp, & hair during the dryer months? Here are a few tips:
1. Staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water is the easiest way to prevent dry skin & scalp.
2. Trade in the hot steamy shower for a cooler shower. Cooler water tightens the pores, restricting moisture loss.

This July I'm celebrating my 9 year anniversary at Sola! I'm so happy to say that I'm still here 9 years later because things could have taken a very different turn.⁠
When I first came to Sola, I was sharing the studio I'm in now with another stylist. Things were going good, and looking up. About 2.5 years in, my suitemate had back surgery, and recovery was difficult for her, so she made the decision to leave our profession, leaving me with the suite and double the expenses.⁠
I was determined to make it on my own, and here I am 9 years later, making it on my own! Thank you everyone for your support!

How we choose to wear our hair is a form self-expression, and an outward representation of ourselves. Regardless of how someone identifies, everyone deserves to have a hairstyle that makes them feel authentically themselves, delivered in a space where they feel listened to, respected, and safe. What Is A Service Package?

A Service Package is a simplified way for you to book your appointment. Instead of having to book multiple services for your color appointment, all of those individual services are combined into one service, creating a Service Package.

These packages are based on average timing and product use. As an established guest, it's not uncommon to fall in-between service packages, especially if you have shorter or longer hair than average. In these cases, there are Additional 30 Minute blocks that you can combine with a main service package to shorten or lengthen your appointment. The same holds true for haircuts, I offer a main haircut package, but also offer haircut package variations for those whose haircuts take less or more time than the average. If you're unsure of which package to book, I recommend booking the longer service, or you can email me to clarify.

Doing My Part For Earth Day, Every Day.

Did you know the beauty industry is responsible for sending 877 pounds of waste to the landfill every minute?

Earth Day 2022, I made a commitment to responsibly dispose of my salon's waste by joining , a recycling program exclusively for salons, to prevent 95% of my salon waste, such as hair, foils, and color, from going to the landfill, and releasing harmful CO2 into the atmosphere. By partnering with Green Circle Salons, my salon suite became a Certified Carbon Neutral Salon!

The coolest part of partnering with Green Circle Salons is learning all of the ways they're able to repurpose salon waste.

Hair clippings are composted with other organic waste, turned into bio-composite plastic to make new products like recycling bins, used to research and develop new environmental technology like insulation and stormwater filtration, and made into products to be used for Humanitarian efforts.

Excess hair color is either turned into clean energy, or separated into water and oil: the oil is blended into fuel, and the water is cleaned and returned into the water system.

Pretty cool, huh?

5 Ways To Protect Your Hair While On Vacation
