Every election poses quandaries for American Jews, especially the choice between our interests and aspirations as American citizens and also, to do what is best for Israel. This election is no exception; the choice this time feels extraordinarily difficult. In these two sessions, we will try to look past the never-ending campaign rhetoric and place the complexities of this choice in a broader historical perspective and context.

We are horrified by the recent rocket assault launched by Hezbollah that killed at least a dozen people in the Golan Heights and wounded many others. The victims were mostly teens and children from the local Druze village of Majdal Shams, in what is the deadliest terrorist attack against Israel since October 7. We mourn the innocent lives lost. May their memories be a blessing.
