Today begins Jewish American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the many contributions of American Jews to our nation's rich tapestry.

Yet, many in our community feel threatened and isolated right now.

In this tumultuous moment, we stand tall in honoring our community's resilience.

Our Interim Executive Director, Sam Dubin, is quoted in USA Today discussing the unnerving upswing in antisemitism.

Antisemitism is everywhere. We tracked it across all 50 states. Antisemitism is on the rise. Some places you feel that, Jews in America say, some places you don’t. Here's what Jews, famous and not, had to say about it.

On the holiday of Pesach each year we recall the story of our people’s liberation from slavery in Egypt thousands of years ago.

This tradition is central to the story of the Jewish people, and led directly to our people’s becoming of a nation on the path to the promised land.

This tradition reminds us every year of the faith and perseverance that has preserved our nation for thousands of years.

As we say recite “next year in Jerusalem”, let us pray for the liberation of our remaining hostages who are still languishing in captivity of the modern Pharaoh.

For us all, and for our remaining hostages, next year in Jerusalem.

Our annual Interfaith and Diplomatic Seder was a success! Thank you to all the Consuls General and interfaith partners who attended.

We stand united with the people of Israel and pray for their safety as Iran launches dozens of drones toward the country.

We vehemently condemn this act of aggression from Iran and thank the U.S. for their unwavering support for Israel during this critical time.

We join our brothers and sisters in Israel in reciting the Shema, one of Judaism's most powerful prayers, for the hostages still in captivity.

We pray they come home soon.

AJC Statement on Majority Leader Schumer’s Remarks

A small group of protesters gathered outside the Max M. Fisher Federation Building earlier this morning. Bloomfield Township Police, working closely with Jewish Community Security Inc., safely moved these trespassers from our property. In addition, a registered event participant in the building was disruptive and subsequently escorted from the premises. We are extremely grateful for their swift and professional response and resolution of this incident. The safety and security of our staff, volunteers and community members continues to be our top priority.

We remain unequivocally committed to our support for Israel and will never be deterred from our work as Jewish communal professionals. We also want to thank our extraordinary community for its ongoing support, and for all that continues to be done to stand in solidarity with the people of Israel.

Coalition for Black and Jewish Unity Kicks Off Leadership Academy There is no cost to the students and each faculty member — most of whom are already involved with the Coalition — is working voluntarily.

We are proud of our important and vital bridge building work! The Coalition for Black and Jewish Unity is instrumental in bridging the divide.

Amid racial and antisemitic incidents, two groups are reuniting to combat hate Jewish and Black groups, which once had solid alliances, are teaming up again across the U.S. to talk and learn about one another.

Wishing you a meaningful Martin Luther King Jr. Day. His words still resonate while continuing to inspire us all.

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."

100 days ago, Israelis were slaughtered by Hamas’ terror army.

The terrorists r***d, tortured, maimed, killed, and kidnapped as many Israelis as they could.

Babies, children, moms, dads, the elderly – no one was spared.

We will not rest until all the hostages are home.

JCRC/AJC Hosts Media Gathering This year’s luncheon featured Oakland University President Dr. Ora Pescovitz, who discussed antisemitism on college campuses.

Rabbi Lopatin appeared alongside Dr. Mahmoud Al-Hadidi to talk about the War against Hamas. The two strongly oppose each other's viewpoints - but do so civilly. Watch here:
