Notices will be coming out shortly to residents but we just received the following information from the Village regarding the road construction...
The road program contractor will be placing the first layer of asphalt for the roads in Westlake Townhomes subdivision on Monday (7/1). It is estimated that they could start from anywhere from late morning to early afternoon. The contractor will be finishing up streets from today(6/28) that were not completed due to the rain forcing them to stop. Once they have completed those streets they will make their way to your streets. Some streets in your subdivision may need to be completed on Tuesday morning if the contractor cannot complete them all on Monday. Vehicles will be need off the just placed asphalt for 20-30 minutes as it cools and is rolled. The other side of the road that is unpaved or previously paved will be open to traffic. The second and final layer of asphalt, will be placed during the week of July 8th.
Please note that early in the morning (4-6 am) the contractor will place a tack coat spray on the surface that takes 20 minutes to cure.

The Village of Bloomingdale has secured $1,086,400.00 in federal Surface Transportation Project (STP) funding for the resurfacing of Edgewater Drive from Bloomingdale Rd to Glen Ellyn Rd. Additionally, Lakeview Drive from Edgewater to Circle will be resurfaced. To minimize disruptions to Winnebago School, this work will begin after Memorial Day. Further details will be provided in early May.
Prior to the resurfacing, the Village will replace deteriorated 67” H x 95” W Corrugated Metal Arch Pipes at three locations with new concrete pipes:
1. Edgewater Drive south of Clearbrook Lane
2. Intersection of northbound Colony Green Drive and eastbound Edgewater Drive
3. Lakeview Drive south of S. Circle Avenue
This work is scheduled to start the week of March 4th, with each stage expected to take up to two weeks. A detour will be established to redirect traffic during construction. The schedule may be adjusted due to weather conditions, but all culvert replacements are planned to be completed before the resurfacing project begins.
