Meet our therapist, Rebecca Hughes, LMHCA!

Rebecca earned her Masters of Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University Bloomington in 2022 and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in the process of becoming a fully licensed therapist in the state of Indiana within the coming year. She received a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in 2020. Rebecca has been in the field for two years and practicing clinical work for one year. Throughout her experience, she has worked with young adults with trauma experience; adolescents and children with peer relationships, ADHD, and emotional regulation; as well as school-based mental health services. Rebecca specializes in working with mainly adolescents and young adults.

Hello, everyone! We have a lot of new faces as we’re getting this page going, so I wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Renae Cameron and I am the owner of Exodus Counseling Center. I earned my Masters of Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2018, and am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I received my bachelor’s degree from Northwestern College in 2017. I’m going on my sixth year in the field. Throughout my experience, I have worked with mothers experiencing unplanned pregnancies, worked with families seeking adoption, provided mental health therapy in a community based, school based, and medical outpatient setting, as well as provided therapy services for children and adolescents in residential treatment. My most recent experience has been working with children and families involved with the Department of Child Services and/or probation, in addition to supervising staff who directly work with families in difficult circumstances. My specialization is working with children and adolscents and I am working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist.

In addition, I have recently become a Christian Health Mentor through Women Becoming Whole and am excited to be able to add this service to Exodus!
