Play Me a Story Toys Sale!!!
Saturday, November 19 ~ 9:00 to 3:30
Play Me a Story was inspired by a vendor I met at my first APT National Conference. The idea is to repurpose once beloved toys by buying and reselling them to other therapists at a greatly reduced price. Recycling, repurposing, shopping, and saving money! Some of my favorite things!!
All my toys have been washed or cleaned and sanitized. Whether it’s new figures for the sand tray, fun toys and puzzles for the waiting room, or accessories for nurturing play, my shop has something for everyone. Come check it out!

Discover the healing power of pets
Pets can help during difficult times. In fact, 97% of doctors believe that there are health benefits to owning a pet! A study polled 1,000 family doctors and general practitioners about their experiences with pets in medical settings. Most of them had recommended a pet to a patient and had seen the patients’ health improve as a result of owning pets.3

In response to COVID-19:
To ensure the health and safety of our clients and our clinicians, starting March 23, 2020, our office will be closed for “face to face” sessions and only be conducting teletherapy sessions until this healthcare concern subsides. It was a difficult decision; however, we feel it is the right decision to best help in supporting our clients and to help discontinue the spread of this virus. If you feel that teletherapy is not right for you, just let us know and we will cancel and suspend your sessions until further notice. Giving us 48 hours’ notice of cancellation will not incur any fees for the cancellation of your scheduled appointment.
Our office will be using the program Doxy.me (doc see me) which is an easy way for clients to meet with their providers remotely. Clicking on the URL (link) you will receive from us is all that is required to start a session – from your phone, iPad or computer. This program meets the requirements for HIPPA protected counseling services. Teletherapy sessions can be a helpful and convenient means to continue your regular therapy during this time of restricted travel and social distancing.
Our office is busy getting everything in place to start using teletherapy. Along with setting up this program, signed consents specific to teletherapy will be available on the Therapy Appointments electronic file portal as well as arriving in your inbox. These will need to be signed and returned before a video session can occur. Additionally, a step by step “how to make the best of your video session” will also be made available to you.
It is our understanding from the abundant emails and notifications from the state and insurance carriers that most insurances are allowing for teletherapy services. This being said, each plan and policy can be different in this aspect. Please, please, call your insurance number on the back of your card and ask if they cover this type of service for you. We will also be looking into what the major insurance carriers are allowing and requiring. Again, each carrier may have differences among their different plans and policies. If you opt to utilize teletherapy with our office, you will be responsible for any fees not covered by your insurance plan.
We would ask that you let us know as soon as possible about any necessary changes in scheduling on your end so that therapy times can be available for others needing those appointment times. Similarly, we hope to be able to provide ongoing services without interruption provided we as clinicians can remain well ourselves!
We value our professional relationship with you and appreciate your understanding in these difficult times. With God looking over us all, we will come out the other side.
