❤️ A JAMA study shows hormone therapy for menopause is SAFE for women under 60, countering previous beliefs from the Women's Health Initiative study that linked it to higher risks of breast cancer and stroke. Looking back, Dr. Streicher says, it's clear the Women's Health Initiative study was flawed and that some of the risks that were identified were linked to the type of hormones that women were given.

❤️ Advances include safer, lower-dose hormones like micronized progesterone or bio-identical hormones, which DO NOT increase breast cancer risk, addressing issues from older hormone types like medroxyprogesterone acetate found in earlier studies.
