Selecting the right automotive carpet is crucial for enhancing the overall aesthetics, comfort, and durability of your vehicle's interior. With a plethora of options available in the market, it can be challenging to determine which carpet is best suited for your needs. Today I wanted to showcase some of the most common carpet types found on the market today-
Loop Carpet-
Loop carpet, characterized by fibers left in their loop form, creates a tightly woven, firm, low pile carpet. This type of carpet is renowned for its durability and ability to provide a clean look to your vehicle's interior. Loop carpet is a traditional choice for vehicles manufactured before 1973.
Cutpile Carpet-
Cutpile carpet is crafted by cutting the fibers of loop carpet in half, resulting in an upright pile with exposed ends of the fibers. This type of carpet offers a softer feel but may require more maintenance as the cut fibers allow dirt to spread into the carpet.
Needlepunch Carpet-
Needle punch carpet stands out from loop and cutpile carpets as it is made by compacting and interlocking fibers using barbed felting needles. This unique manufacturing process provides stretch and flexibility to the carpet. Perfect for applications such as the backs of seats, hat racks, speaker boxes, and trunk lining, Needle Punch carpet provides versatility without compromising quality. This is also serves as an excellent high quality headliner material!
In conclusion, the choice of automotive carpet ultimately boils down to personal preferences in terms of style, comfort, and maintenance. By understanding the differences in pile types and exploring our diverse range of loop, cutpile, and needle punch carpets, you can make an informed decision that aligns with your specific needs. Upgrade your vehicle's interior with a carpet that not only suits your taste but also enhances the overall driving experience!
Happy New Year, everyone! For those unfamiliar, I specialize in servicing all vehicles using the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) repair procedures. This approach eliminates any guesswork from jobs and ensures that you receive dealership-level service when customizing or repairing your vehicle's interior.
Modern cars consist of over 30,000 parts, and understanding how each component comes apart is crucial, particularly when dealing with electrical systems. Some manufacturers, like Tesla, don't disclose this information to the public. However, I'm thrilled to announce that this year, I've gained access to Tesla's system!
If you're in need of interior repairs or looking to customize your Tesla, we're here to help turn your vision into reality.

Fresh Headliner in this Volkswagen Jetta! Original Material was called Pearl Grey and is no longer available but we were able to find a close matchup. Take a look!
Summer is here and its boating season! Recovered this 2006 Yamaha Boat to looking like brand new. White vinyl is resistant to normal stains and the mildew red stains (hard to see in a photo but the old upholstery had a red tint to the vinyl). Grey top stiching, beautiful grey carbon vinyl, and black piping for contrast. DM or give a call for a quote today!
Here's some seats I trimmed out of a Husky airplane! We used some soft grain Italian leather and the hide was over 55 sq ft, that's one big cow! The leather was processed to meet the highest flammability requirements as well as the foam. Certificates are available for all sourced materials. As per the request of the customer we were able to shave 5lb off a 1200lb plane all within the seats!
Wanted to showcase a bike I trimmed for the 2023 Roadster show- 2010 Big Dog K9 upholstered in real black Horned Alligator! The challenge was real with this project because the hide contained real bone horns underneath the skin but with a little Doctor Andersen skills with a Dremel tool I was able to extract the bones to let the hide be sewed together. I sourced the hide from a Fish and Game trapper in Florida who informed me that he was a nuisance gator and was about 8 feet long, the hide fit perfectly in the seat allowing a thick 7oz leather to be wrapped around the seat without seams!
I can source many exotic animal hides from different species- Alligator, Ostridge, sting ray, fish scales to name a few
Cow hide has many many different types of options too, tanneries all over the world make different quality hides for different applications, we can even get custom images placed for a more artisanal look. Stay tuned for more information on custom hides!
Here's some headliner projects I've been doing lately- The bottom photos are panels belonging to a large transportation vans while the top is a Chevy single cab. If you notice its finished in a carpet material rather than normal headlining material, this was because the customer didn't want to deal with the foam backing that crumples over time leading to a headliner replacement. It also easy to clean stains off and resists tearing.
Installed some custom sheepskin seat covers on a 08 Lexus. All sheepskin covers are made with 100% real hide and are about an inch thick. Definitely helps add some comfort and protection!

I do bowed headliners and I wanted to share this project from last year! To install correctly we had to have all the glass removed and the window gasket goes over to finish on the back and front windows. Looked great and baby smooth!

Finished this upholstery project on a 1934 Ford 550 with a dump truck bed! Interior seats are upholstered in a distressed Spanish bull hide with black piping for a lush contrast. The headliner was finished with Daytona weave carpet along with the quarters with all custom fitted panels. Interesting the models with the truck bed had the gas tank in the cab so the seat was split to allow access for refueling.
