We were seeing Brow Lamination all over social media and like some other trends they come and go, but as a whole, brow lamination is here to stay.

We are staying with the trend of now identifying the brow shape to be called “fluffy” brow vs the traditional sculpted.

However, some things that we have noticed about this new style of brow is maybe it can be too much for most. We have been downsizing this service in the spa for a more natural application, so if you are scared to try that super slick application, let your brow specialist (Ashley) know that you would like a natural brow lamination. 1. What’s your guilty pleasure snack?

My guilty pleasure snack is definitely any spicy chips.

2. I must ask this question, but how do you take your coffee?

I love my coffee with creamer ( preferably peppermint mocha creamer) and iced or hot!

3. When you are not working on clients, what hobbies can we see you doing?

Some of my favorite hobbies are that I love to go fishing with my dad, and I love to travel.

4. What’s one fun fact about you?

Some different fun facts about are that I love seafood and outdoor activities and that I love spending quality time with my family.

5. What plans do you have during summer?

During the summer i’m usually out camping with my friends, paddle boarding, swimming, and walking my dogs!

6. In this career that you are embarking, what tips have you learned so far that you are making your daily practice?

A few skincare tips that I learned throughout my life were to not over exfoliate my skin and to always wear sunscreen no matter what!

We have some new upgrades starting March 1!

As you know, Succulent Skin Day Spa is constantly growing whether it is through additional education and leveling up the services we offer to creating the best experience.

2023 was a great year for us. We were a finalist in Best in Boise for Day, spa, (and some others that will be announced soon). We learned a lot about growth, and support. Ashley Schaffer joined our team which has been so amazing at her BROW/LASH game. We are able to have more hands on deck to get more clients in so that our waitlist is cut shorter. Along those lines of growth, we will be adding some upgrades to our service menu along with a price increase to stay in line with our community. Some goals for 2024 is to bring on another team member who specializes in facials.

Not only will we be cleaning up our service menu with discontinuing some services to make room for new services with even higher technology. We are also leveling up our Succulent Skin Squad Membership. Did you even know we had a membership program? It is a free noncommittal membership for those who book within 4 to 6 weeks you are absolutely rewarded for your loyalty. This is a great way for you to take advantage of all of our perks. Check out the slide to see what will be elevated.

2023 has slapped me in the face with challenges and the growth of our business. I came into 2023 with lots of plans, goals and systems put into place so I thought. I tried some of those ideas but they fell to the wayside because of how busy I was in the treatment room. While I wasn’t able to create as much new content on Instagram or launch all of the workshops I had in mind, I know this year can only go up from here.

As I look back into the year and figure out what adapting to this growth looks like, I am excited yet again to implement some new systems and plans to improve this year.

Just because my work goals didn’t get accomplished for 2023 as I had hoped for, I’ve come to realize that that’s okay- Not every year is going to be a banging success or a recordbreaker, but ultimately, there are more important things to focus on. I have a newfound gratitude for my personal life, health, and my shift in perspective, when it comes to my own priorities.

It was so incredible this year for business. I’m wrapping up my 2023 with gratitude for my community.

Happy New Years Day! Today is the very first year of us making all our changes and New Year’s resolutions. I don’t have any resolutions this year believe it our not, but I do have a WORD, in fact I have two.


What is One Word?

According to the book by Jon Gordon, 87% of us make new year’s resolutions. These famously fail in the vast majority of cases due to mishaps, failures and false starts. Most people don’t even make it to the end of January! With One Word, our goals are summarised and focused into one powerful, carefully chosen word. The word is less of a goal and more of a way of being. By selecting only one word, we remain focused and determined. The word becomes a journey with inevitable ups and downs.

Last year I shared my words which were Grace and Consistency. I would say I gave my self Grace for sure but could use more consistency.

My new words for the new year is Edit and not editing content, I’m talking about really editing too much and pulling back from not over doing it and my other focus is Connection.

We are thrilled to ring in the New Year!

What a year, what a year...SIGH! Cheers to 2023 and here's to 2024. Are you one of those crazy new year dreamers that make goals and falls off in February like all the statistics say? Who cares, I am a crazy believer in thanking the previous year for what it has brought & taught me. In the words of Marie Knodo, thank you for bringing me joy. Having said that this is literally my favorite holiday. I love all the cheesy goals and yearly reflexion, this is literally what I thrive off of. I love celebrating all the successes and growth, but I also really like to dig into all the opportunities we had so that we can implements those upgrades in the new year.

Some of it worked, but some flopped!

There were some things that were a Success, like:

+ Being a finalist for Best in Boise for Best Day Spa, and two placements that will be announced in the new year.
+ Adding Ashley Shaffer to the team, she literally lights up the spa when she's in, if you are looking for amazing brows, and lashes, book her.
+ We broke records this year, the most transactions, sales have conquered last year, and the largest event yet!

Boy, were there some things that need to be Upgraded, like:

~ Not having staff on hand for you to come in and shop
~ Still evolving on social media & what business content TRULY excites you all
~ More time for consulting with Michelle (upgrade ideas coming soon)

What i've come to terms with that needs to take a Hike, like:

* Allowing myself to fall into the disease of fellow comparison
* Worrying if social media posts are perfect
* Having people unfollow my IG or Newsletters
