Kevin, our sous chef is the heart and soul of the lively, he is kind, gracious, treats everyone with respect but also pushed his team to be the best they can be, he inspires innovation and passion. We are so lucky to have him and the exceptional food he creates.
This week our special is Merguez; featuring lamb sausage sourced from and butchered in house by Chef Kevin, served on a bed of farro imported from Italy and dressed with anchoïade made with fresh local herbs, anchovies and crisp olives. It’s a perfect nod to a Lively spring and only available for a limited time.

Meet Harmen, an alumni of Life’s Kitchen AND our opening team. He rejoined us recently and we couldn’t be happier to have him back!
Though he has called Boise home since he was six years old, he originally hails from Anchorage, Alaska. That might explain his love of the outdoors (you might see him in Anne Morrison shooting hoops or playing disc golf throughout the Summer), animals … especially cats and will spoil his dinner if amaretto ice cream is available.
Sushi is the love of his culinary life however here he is plating a new sushi inspired addition to our menu: Ahi Tuna Carpaccio brushed with bonito infused soy and topped with pickled mustard seeds and fennel pollen.
