๐It's World Hepatitis Day!๐
๐กDid you know that your liver performs over 500 vital functions every single day to keep you alive, thatโs why testing, treating and preventing viral hepatitis is so important.
Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver. Itโs usually caused by a viral infection or non-infectious agents (such as drugs, toxins, alcohol).
There are 5 main strains of the hepatitis virus, referred to as types A, B, C, D, and E. While they all cause liver disease, they differ in important ways including modes of transmission, severity of illness, geographical distribution, and how they can be prevented.
Types B and C hepatitis lead to chronic disease and together are the most common cause of liver cirrhosis, loss of liver function, liver cancer and viral-hepatitis related deaths.
๐๐ฉต๐ฉบFull Circle Health offers testing and treatment options for those diagnosed with any of these types of hepatitis viruses. ๐๐ฉต
Call us at 208-514-2505 to get tested!

Join us in raising awareness about hepatitis, a silent but serious health threat affecting millions worldwide. Hereโs what you need to know:
Understand Hepatitis ๐งฌ: Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver, often caused by viral infections (Hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E). It can also result from toxins, alcohol use, and certain medications.
Know the Symptoms ๐จ: Many people with hepatitis may not show symptoms. When they do, common signs include fatigue, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes), abdominal pain, and flu-like symptoms.
Get Tested ๐ฌ: Early detection is key. Regular screening can help catch the disease early, leading to better management and treatment outcomes.
Vaccination and Prevention ๐: Vaccines are available for Hepatitis A and B. Practice safe behaviors such as proper hand hygiene, safe s*x, and avoiding sharing needles to reduce your risk.
Seek Treatment ๐ฉบ: If youโre diagnosed with hepatitis, follow your healthcare provider's guidance. Treatments are available that can manage and, in some cases, cure the disease.
Spread Awareness ๐ข: Share information about hepatitis with your family and friends. Awareness and education are vital in preventing the spread and reducing stigma.
Together, we can make a difference in the fight against hepatitis. Get informed, get tested, and protect your liver health.

๐Beat the summer heat!๐
Lots of the people we care for are vulnerable to the heat, including unhoused folks, outdoor workers, pregnant people, anyone who is sensitive to volume loss, young children, the elderly, etc.
Here are two simple tips to stay cool and healthy:
๐งHydrate Often: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you're not thirsty.
๐ Stay Indoors During Peak Hours: Avoid being outside from 10 AM to 4 PM. If you need to go out, wear sunscreen, bring water, and wear or carry items that help to cover your skin from the harmful rays.
There are even more resources to help! Check out this article posted by KIVI Idaho News 6 to access info on free cooling centers throughout the Treasure Valley:
Here's where you can find a cooling center in the Treasure Valley With an excessive heat warning in effect through Friday, July 12, groups like Ada County's Our Path Home are sharing lists of cooling centers across the Treasure Valley.
๐บ๐ธFull Circle Health clinics will be closed in observance of Independence Day๐บ๐ธ
We will re-open at normal business hours on Friday, July 5th.
For after-hours care, please call your clinic's phone number, or our standard number (208) 514-2500, and our 24 hour nurse care line can help assist you. For emergencies, please dial 911.

๐๐บ๐ธ Happy 4th of July! ๐บ๐ธ๐
As we gear up for a day of fun, fireworks, and festivities, here are some Full Circle tips to help you stay safe and healthy:
Stay Hydrated ๐ง: Drink plenty of water, especially if you're spending time outdoors.
Sun Protection ๐: Apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and wear hats and sunglasses to protect against UV rays. Reapply sunscreen every two hours!
Fireworks Safety ๐: Leave fireworks to the professionals. If you do use them, keep water nearby, never relight a "dud" firework, and supervise children closely.
Grill Safely ๐: Keep the grill clean and maintain a safe distance from flammable objects. Use long-handled tools to avoid burns and never leave the grill unattended.
Food Safety ๐: Keep cold foods cold and hot foods hot to prevent foodborne illness. Don't leave perishable items out for more than two hours.
Safe Swimming ๐: If you're near water, ensure there's always a lifeguard or a responsible adult present. Keep an eye on children at all times and follow local swimming guidelines.
Avoid Overexertion ๐: Take breaks in the shade and avoid strenuous activities during the hottest parts of the day.
Travel Smart ๐: Plan your route, buckle up, and never drink and drive. Be mindful of increased traffic and pedestrian activity for the 4th of July holiday.
First Aid Kit ๐ฉน: Have a basic first aid kit on hand for minor injuries or accidents.
Stay Informed ๐ฑ: Keep an eye on local weather updates and any safety advisories.
Our Full Circle Health clinics will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, and will re-open at normal business hours on Friday, July 5th.

๐ Let's spread awareness and protect our little ones! ๐
It's National Infant Immunization Week, a great time to emphasize the importance of childhood vaccinations. ๐Here's why they matter:
๐ถ Healthy Start: Vaccines safeguard infants from serious illnesses, providing a strong foundation for a healthy life right from the start.
๐ก๏ธ Protection: Immunizations shield babies from diseases like measles, mumps, rubella, whooping cough, and more. By getting vaccinated, we not only protect our children but also our communities.
๐ช Builds Immunity: Vaccines help babies develop immunity to diseases, ensuring their bodies are prepared to fight off infections.
๐ค Addressing Concerns: We understand there may be concerns about vaccinations. Here are a few common worries addressed:
1๏ธโฃ Safety: Vaccines are rigorously tested for safety before they're approved for use. The benefits far outweigh the risks.
2๏ธโฃ Side Effects: Like any medication, vaccines can cause minor side effects like redness at the injection site or low-grade fever. Serious side effects are extremely rare.
3๏ธโฃ Autism Myth: Numerous studies have debunked the myth linking vaccines to autism. Vaccines save lives, they don't cause autism.
4๏ธโฃ Too Many Vaccines: While the vaccine schedule may seem overwhelming, it's carefully planned to provide the best protection at the right times.
๐จโโ๏ธ Talk to Your Doctor: If you have concerns or questions about vaccinations, talk to your pediatrician. They can provide expert guidance and address any worries you may have.
Let's ensure our little ones stay safe and healthy by staying up to date on their immunizations! ๐

๐ซ๐บ April is Alcohol Awareness Month! ๐ธ๐ซ
It's important to recognize the impact of alcohol on our lives. If you or someone you know is struggling with alcohol addiction, know that help is available. Here are some tips to quit:
1๏ธโฃ Acknowledge the problem: Admitting there's an issue is the first step towards recovery. Don't be afraid to seek support.
2๏ธโฃ Seek professional help: Reach out to a therapist, counselor, or support group specialized in addiction recovery. They can provide guidance and resources tailored to your needs. (We have therapists here at Full Circle Health who can help!)
3๏ธโฃ Build a support system: Surround yourself with friends, family, and peers who encourage and support your decision to quit. Their understanding and encouragement can make a world of difference.
4๏ธโฃ Find healthy coping mechanisms: Discover alternative ways to manage stress, anxiety, and other triggers without turning to alcohol. This could include exercise, hobbies, mindfulness, or creative outlets.
5๏ธโฃ Take it one day at a time: Recovery is a journey, and it's okay to have setbacks along the way. Celebrate your progress, no matter how small, and stay committed to your goal of living a healthier, alcohol-free life.
Remember, you're not alone in this journey. There's hope, help, and support available. You deserve a happy and fulfilling life, free from the grip of alcohol addiction. ๐ช

๐ Congratulations to Shawn Smith, our shining star of the quarter๐ We're thrilled to announce Shawn as the recipient of this quarter's Circle Award at Full Circle Health! ๐
For over a year, Shawn has been the backbone of our operations, tirelessly serving as our Maintenance Technician across all ten of our clinic locations in the Treasure Valley. His dedication and hard work are truly commendable, as he never lets anything stand in his way. ๐ช

Thanks to Shawn's unwavering commitment, our clinics run smoothly, allowing us to fulfill our mission of providing exceptional care to our patients. ๐ฅYour contributions don't go unnoticed, Shawn! Thank you for all that you do! ๐
๐ Stressed out? Here are some tips to help you manage it effectively!
1๏ธโฃ Practice deep breathing exercises to instantly calm your mind and body. Take slow, deep breaths for a few minutes whenever you feel overwhelmed.
2๏ธโฃ Prioritize your tasks and break them down into smaller, manageable steps. Delegate when possible to lighten your load and avoid feeling overwhelmed.
3๏ธโฃ Get moving! Exercise releases endorphins, your body's natural stress relievers. Even a short walk or quick workout can make a big difference in how you feel.
4๏ธโฃ Watch your caffeine intake and stay hydrated. Too much caffeine can increase feelings of anxiety, so opt for water or herbal tea instead.
5๏ธโฃ Practice mindfulness and stay present in the moment. Take breaks to appreciate the little things and focus on what you can control rather than worrying about the future.
Remember, it's okay to ask for help if you need it. You're not alone in dealing with stress, we're here to support you. Take care of yourself! ๐
