This firm provides consulting services on transportation and land use issues. Currently, I am working on a book on the history of the Bellingham & Northern Railroad in northwest Washington. Concurrently, I am using the results of this research to design and construct a reasonably accurate model of the Bellingham and Northern Railroad operations in Whatcom County, including it's interchanges with the Northern Pacific Railroad and the Great Northern Railroad as they existed in 1916.

Stud wall going up for the second phase of the model railroad. This will support the Whatcom (Old Town) portion of Bellingham. Also finishing the front face of phase one.

Source of limestone for the cement plant in Bellingham located on the the line from Sumas to Glacier.
Result of recent research efforts at the Whatcom Museum of Art and History. Combining information from this early city Plat map with a couple of photos from the Museum's archives provides great information for modeling purposes.
Construction is underway on the Bellingham and Northern Railroad. It will be a representation of the railroads of Whatcom County as they existed in 1916, centered around the operations of the Milwaukee Road's Sumas branch.
