Meet Liz, one of our culinary stars at Thomas Cuisine! 🌟👩🏻‍🍳

A self-taught and industry-taught chef, Liz loves creating ethnic fusion dishes like ahi poke tostadas and Cajun seafood Alfredo. Her love for Asian cooking started early, with her father introducing her to traditional Japanese fare like udon noodle soup. Liz’s heart belongs to Asian cuisine—fresh veggies, fermented condiments, authentic spices, rice, seafood, and stir-frying are her specialties!

Sara has been a dedicated member of the Thomas Cuisine family for 11 years and currently serves as the Patient Services Sous Chef. Her passion for REAL food and scratch cooking shines in everything she does. From crafting seasonal delights like panko-crusted trout and lemon blueberry crepes to developing IDDSI-compliant recipes like tres leches pancakes, Sara’s creativity and skill are truly impressive. She’s an innovator in recipe development and always steps up when needed. Sara truly embodies the Thomas Cuisine spirit of teamwork and excellence.

Last week, we brought together our Thomas Cuisine team from across the nation for our Annual Meeting in Boise, Idaho! A huge shoutout to the Thomas Cuisine team at Touro University for their incredible work preparing 120 scratch-cooked meals and perfectly packaging them for travel from Montana to New Mexico for the Touro Dental School groundbreaking ceremony! 🥪✈️ Adhering to Kosher standards is part of our daily operations at Touro, but ensuring the meals stayed fresh and maintained proper temperatures during the journey was a unique challenge. The team accomplished this seamlessly, and the 110 lunches and 10 dinners were well received, both in taste and presentation!

Chef Justin extends a special thanks to Kyle Morlan, Kim Carter, Jerimiah Cox, Josiah, Rabbi Mendel, and the rest of the Thomas Cuisine team. We also appreciate the leadership from Touro, especially Rabbi Krupka, Jeff Rosengarten, and Zac Senderovic. Chef Sara Thomas, Chris Hueth, and the Maintenance team—your hard work and dedication made this all possible!

Enjoy rosemary roasted Yukon potatoes, perfectly seasoned Greek Souvlaki chicken, and a refreshing Greek salad full of tomatoes, bell peppers, feta cheese, red onions, and cucumbers.
