What an incredible and impactful experience at the Snowball Express put on by the . Aston Carter volunteers recently spent time with military families who have endured the unimaginable loss of a loved one, and provided employment resources and opportunities for families in attendance.

The event hosted over 1,800 military families across two weekends and was a special time for them to connect with others who have felt similar experiences.

Today, Aston Carter recognizes Women’s Equality Day! Women’s Equality Day was instigated in 1971 and celebrates the hard-won victories of women who have fought for equal rights and opportunities. This week, our Women's and BRIDGE employee resource group (ERG) celebrated Women's Equality Day with accomplished TEDx guest speaker and CEO of Career Thrivers, Brittany Cole, who is also a best-selling author of the book Thrive Through It. One of the key takeaways from this amazing discussion was that We all have different experiences and backgrounds that allow us different privileges. We need to understand our privilege and utilize it to advocate. We need to Speak up, show up, step up.

We value all of the hardworking women, not just in our workforce, but everywhere working to empower one another and create change.
