To Portland, Maine last weekend was a treat. Tourism traffic was zero but nevertheless, the city held its charm. Downtown is a mecca for artists. African Americans made their marks on Portland in 17th century. This Abbyssian church at 75 Newbury Street Portland still stands from their work. Portland's African American Heritage Trail is a must do if you go there. You'll see more Black Lives Matter signs in retail shop windows than there are on Blue Hill Avenue.
