We just worked out how long it takes to screen applicants for the average role.
Let’s say you screen 100 resumes and half make it through a quick scan:
1. Quick scan = 6 seconds x 100 = 600 seconds
2. Detailed scan = 2 minutes x 50 = 100 minutes
3. Cross reference = 30 seconds x 50 = 1,500 seconds
4. Taking notes on applicant = 1 minute x 50 = 50 minutes
5. Emailing successful applicant = 30 secs x 50 = 1,500 secs
That means on average it takes 3.5 HOURS to fully screen 100 resumes. But the screening assistant cuts that by 89% - down to 25 MINUTES - by making steps 1-4 take about 10 seconds per resume total.
