The Fenway Cares collective honored Senator Brownsberger and Rep Jay Livingstone for their unwavering support for Fenway Cares and the 50k earmark in the MA state budget which will fund our free food distribution in The Fenway for months to come. The Fenway Cares collectives serves 450 free bags of fruits and vegetables 2 times a month and have been doing so since spring of 2020. We could not do what we do week in and week out without the support of our collective, our city and state reps, and our resident leaders. Thank you!

We said goodbye to the wonderful Kennedy Avery who has been such an asset to the Fenway community through her work with former City Councilor and her latest role as Councilor Sharon Durkin’s Chief of Staff. Kennedy will be very much missed for her devotion to constituent services and to the Fenway community. We wish her all the best in her next chapter. Thank you, Kennedy!

Hey Boston locals! Looking for a free, fun, and educational event for your kids this summer? The Mary Baker Eddy Library’s free youth event series, One World, introduces kids to different cultures and countries around the globe through live performances, art projects, and stories.

Join from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Christian Science Plaza on the following four Tuesdays in July:
🌍 July 9 – Japan
🌍 July 16 – Jamaica
🌍 July 23 – Ireland
🌍 July 30 – India

A gorgeous evening at the Mayor’s Rose Garden Party supporting the Boston Parks and Recreation Department free summer programming! The Kelleher Rose Garden was in full bloom and so were the attendees! Thanks to Mayor Michelle Wu 吳弭 for a wonderful event! Thanks to Fenway Alliance Co-executive Director Kelly Brilliant who is a long-time member of the Rose Garden Party Committee. Many Fenway Alliance Board members were in attendance and our whole Fenway Alliance team was there with our hats (and fascinators!) on! 🌸

Thanks to Councilor Sharon Durkan for hosting an informal gathering to talk about the possibility of a Boston Public Library branch in the Fenway! Thanks also to President of the Boston Public Library David Leonard for attending and sharing more about what the planning process for this will look like. We are grateful to Samuels & Associates for working with community to see this long-time dream of Fenway residents realized!

Thanks so much to the Mission Hill Fenway Neighborhood Trust for supporting local organizations and community! Grants were awarded to lots of local orgs including music in Ramler Park plaza activations MassArt Art Museum Mission Hill Arts Festival and so much more. We were awarded a grant to support our work with the Opening Our Doors YMCA Teen Council. Thank you, MHFNT!

Thanks to Northeastern University City & Community Engagement for hosting a wonderful Heart of the Community awards ceremony. One of the honorees was Dolly Boogdanian, president of the Audubon Circle Neighborhood Association for her amazing work in the community including with Fenway Cares.
