Arts Arlington is seeking design proposals from three artists (or artist teams) to transform the Arlington Heights Bus Depot! Artists will receive financial support and be awarded for their work. Artists must be available to complete the mural in October 2024. APPLICATIONS ARE DUE SOON SUNDAY AUGUST 11, 2024.

Today, we’re spotlighting Jessica “Jay” Wong! Jay joined Mass Cultural Council in October 2021 as a Program Coordinator to help oversee the Asian American and Pacific Islander Arts & Culture COVID-19 Recovery Program. Upon its conclusion, she transitioned to our Community Initiative team where she now works with Local Cultural Councils and Cultural Districts in Greater Boston, Southeastern MA, and Hampshire County and assists with the Festivals & Projects program.
Prior to Mass Cultural Council, Jay was the program director and Interim-Executive Director of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Commission. She continues to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the Commonwealth Seminar, sits on the planning committee for the annual hip hop jam, Thrillah in the Rivah, serves as a co-Chair for Asset Mapping for the Asian American and Pacific Islander Arts and Culture Collaborative under The Asian Community Fund, and is in the process of writing a book centered on mixed-race Asian Americans with a creative piece to follow. Jay also loves creating digital art and mixed-media art.
