I'm always disappointed when I hear of seniors that won't consider a Reverse Mortgage Loan to reach their retirement dreams because of misconceptions about Reverse Mortgages. What are the eligibility requirements for a Reverse Mortgage Loan?

1. The borrower must be 62 or older
🏡
2. Must be the homeowner and either own the home outright or have significant equity. The home must be your primary residence (live there 6+ months of the year)

3. Property must be a single-family home, a 2-4 unit dwelling or FHA approved condo

4. Must receive reverse mortgage counseling from a HUD-approved counseling agency

5. Must not be delinquent on any federal debt.
