🐺 Congratulations to Sam Bellomy of Hingham, MA on being awarded as a 1st team All-American MCLA goalie 🐺

With a staggering 264 saves and just 139 goals allowed in 16 games played (65.5% save pct.), Sam helped to captain our defense and led the charge for a return to Round Rock.

As president of the team for both his sophomore and junior years, Sam has embodied what it means to be a Dawg and steps up on and off the field when we need it the most. Congrats Bell, and enjoy retirement from your administrative duties next year 🛎️

🐺 Congratulations to Ryan McCarthy of Wi******er, MA on being awarded as a 2nd team All-American MCLA middie 🐺

With 28 goals and 23 assists this season, RMac captained the Dawgs’ offense to a season where we went undefeated in conference play and dominated at home. Since transferring from Union College, Ryan has been a mainstay on the offensive and man up units and we look forward to seeing more of his step-downs in the future. Congrats RMac! 🇺🇸

🐺 Congratulations to Wynton Bastian of Carlsbad, CA on being awarded as a 3rd team All-American MCLA attackman 🐺

This season, Wynton tallied 36 goals and 21 assists in just 12 games for the Dawgs, averaging a hat trick a game. Since stepping on campus for his graduate program and joining the team last Fall, Wynt has been a huge contributor for our offense and the team as a unit. He came to NU after completing his undergraduate degree and lacrosse at Providence College, and was a big addition for our young squad this year. Fun fact: Wynton also competes as a member of the German National Team. Congrats Wynt 🇺🇸🇩🇪

🚨ATTENTION ALL ALUMNI DAWGS: On October 14th and 15th, we will be hosting our alumni weekend with the first Annual Alumni Golf Outing. In just under a month, the team will be at Sandy Burr on the 14th for a 1:00 shotgun tournament start, with an included attendee dinner at the country club to follow. The following day, October 15th, we’ll be having our annual Alumni game from 2:00-4:00 on Carter Field. Congratulations to our players who earned All-American and All-Conference Honors for the 2023 season!

Sophomores Chris Wilk (M) and Sam Bellomy (G) led the way for us this year, each earning 2nd Team All-American Distinctions. Additionally, we had a league-high 11 players earn all CLC conference awards, including the Defensive Player of the Year Award for Sam Bellomy.

Dawgs are looking forward to rolling this momentum from our young leaders into the 2023-2024 season‼️ Be sure to fill out the recruitment form in our bio if you want to come along for the ride 🐺

Wanted to give one final shoutout to my fellow members of the Northeastern Lacrosse Class of 2023 as our tenure wraps up here on campus. It’s been a wild ride since we started up and I don’t think any one of us would change a single thing about it given the chance. From navigating 2 canceled seasons amid the pandemic to flying out to Nationals in Texas 12 hours after graduation at Fenway, this group has been through it all.

Proud to be a Husky and proud to be a Dawg, so thank you to every supporter who made it possible. We’re really looking forward to seeing where this program goes from here.

With the conclusion of the 2023 MCLA season, the boys are headed home for the summer. Although we came up a goal short vs. Concordia and didn’t reach our goals in Round Rock, this team had a year to remember.

Traveling to a different time zone on four separate occasions, wearing our road blacks nearly every game, facing injuries and adversity we learned about ourselves and persevered. So proud of what this team accomplished despite it all. A massive thank you to every player, coach and supporter who came along for the ride and made it all possible.

We can’t wait to see what’s next for the Dawgs, stay tuned. 🐺

Dawgs get the CLC title game rematch we’ve been looking for since we came up short last year. First face against BC at 2:00pm EST with a guaranteed spot in Round Rock on the line.

It’s game week‼️ The Dawgs are getting ready to face UNH in the CLC playoffs this Saturday at 4:00pm EST in Fitchburg, MA. The game will be held at Game On Sports Center following the other semifinal. Please come out to support the Huskies in a win or go home playoff game 🐺

The league will not be streaming so we’ll do our best to make our own depending on service. We will keep our pages posted with any links as we know more. Admission in person is $10 a day at the door and free for those under 10 years old. NU students get a discount of $5 so get there to support the boys in a massive tilt. Let’s go Dawgs‼️

🚨After a weekend off, the Dawgs are getting prepped for our next two tests, both in the Greater Boston Area🚨

First, we start CLC play in a massive matchup against BC in Alumni Stadium on Friday night. The annual Red Bandana game will honor 9/11 hero Welles Crowther so please consider coming to watch this great rivalry and honor his memory! Details/Stream information to follow, first faceoff will be at 8pm.

Next, on Sunday at 3pm we’ll be taking on divisional foe UNH in our first Spring game ever played outdoors on the new Carter Field. Admission will be free of charge and we will be honoring our great senior class so please consider coming out to Carter to support the Dawgs!

The Dawgs led some strong fundraising efforts at Relay For Life last Friday, raising nearly $2,000 to go towards cancer research and patient support.

Big shoutout to our personal chess grandmaster Connor “Sauce” Sastre for adding to the fund separately through some friendly competition. Even with a blindfold on he’s the undisputed goat of MCLA chess players.

We also took down Temple 11-6 in a gritty game Saturday, highlights to come tomorrow‼️

Dawgs spent some time at the Great Boston Food Bank today, packaging and organizing over 10,000 pounds of food for those in need.

Great way to spend the weekend off for some of our guys, and we’re back in action hosting Temple next Saturday. Game will be held at Waltham High with no attendance restrictions, stay tuned for details as we continue our 2023 campaign‼️

The dawgs are off to Arizona this weekend for three big back to back matchups. Stay tuned for stream details (game times are in MST.)

Dawgs pick up the win against Minnesota to split the weekend series in the Midwest. Great weekend of lacrosse/broomball but lots to work on as we look towards BSU and our Arizona trip.

Our 2022 campaign has come to a close after a 9-8 defeat in the CLC Championship this past weekend. The Dawgs reached our highest national ranking in 15 years and finished with a 13-2 record, but could not complete our goal of getting to Round Rock.

Thank you to all our supporters, from family and friends to alums who helped us to reach new heights after a 2 year hiatus from competition.

Finally, thanks to our senior class and coaching staff for being exemplary leaders along the way. We’re excited for where this program is headed next.
