Happy graduation day! We want to congratulate all of the members of our team that are graduating today! We are so proud of all of your accomplishments and we know your future is bright! Congratulations BUSST class of 2024 🎓❤️

Our final graduate that we want to recognize is Kristina Nicolas. Kristina is graduating with a degree from CAS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Next year, she will be continuing her education at BU to earn a master’s degree in Biotechnology. Kristina has served as our SID for this season and has also been one of our captains for the last two years. Her excitement for skating and BUSST spirit will be missed next season. We know Kristina will accomplish incredible things in the future! Congrats, Kristina!

The next senior we want to recognize is Taylor Breiby! Taylor is graduating from Sargent College with a degree in Behavior and Health. She is also graduating with a minor in Emotional and Behavioral Challenges in Schools. After graduation, she will be taking a gap year to work as a nursing assistant and she has aspirations to be a PA. This past year, Taylor served as our treasurer and she also was one of our captains. We will miss her infectious love for skating and her upbeat attitude next year. Good luck with your future endeavors, we know you will do extraordinary things! Congrats, Taylor!

The next graduate we want to honor is Jillian Schmottlach. Jill is graduating from CAS with a degree in Biology with a specialization in cell and molecular biology and genetics. She is also going to graduate with a minor in Public Health. She has served as our president for the past two years, and her dedication to our team and cheerful attitude will be missed next season. Thank you, President Jill! We love you and know your future will bring amazing things. Congrats, Jill!

We want to recognize this year’s graduates, and first up is Nora Quinn! Nora is graduating from Wheelock College with a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Teaching. She graduated with her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Special Education from BU last year and has been a part of our team for the last 5 years. Next year, we are going to miss her clever jokes and playful attitude that makes everyone smile. We also will miss her passion and joy for skating. Nora is currently in the interview process for teaching positions and we know she is going to make a great teacher. Congratulations Nora, we know you have amazing things coming your way!

Happy last day of classes and good luck with finals! It’s a bittersweet ending to the semester, as we say goodbye to this year’s graduates, who stepped onto Wally B ice for the last time this weekend. We look forward to watching them graduate in a few weeks 🥹❤️

Last night we had our last team practice of the semester 🥹 and we had a fun surprise with BUSST hats! We finished the night by playing capture the flag (guard). ⛸️❤️

We want to wish the best of luck to as the compete at nationals in Lake Placid, New York!! We are cheering you on 🤩🥳

This past weekend was bittersweet, as we had an our end of season banquet. We recapped the season, recognized our seniors, and everyone received a unique paper plate award. Although we are sad the 2023-24 synchronized skating season has come to a close, we accomplished so much as a team and we can’t wait for what’s to come next year!
