The main frame is finished in a special edition shade of Brunswick Green, complemented by beautiful brass and rose gold accents, highlighting the finer points of the bike and a subtle nod to the inner workings and hand-finished elements of the accompanying makers series items.

Took my S2L-X super light back to my old hometown for some hot and humid riding. It was great to see that what is that a has built some nice bicycle infrastructure - it’s too bad they wrecked the town before hand.

Riding my around Lake Minnetonka while visiting family last week. I’m made aware of just how small this bike is and how easy it is to travel with. I don’t miss the heat and humidity…

For those of you that are Brompton Bicycle and The Tern GSD folks, we have a nice hack for using the Brompton Rack Sack on the Tern. We added the Klickfix mount found on the Sidekick seatpad to the bottom of the Brompton bag. We used 1/8" plastic to stiffen the inside bottom of the bag and now we can quickly mount and dismount the bag to the Tern rack. We have plenty of Rack Sack bags ($120) and plenty of the Klickfix mounts ($20). We would be happy to make you one...

Now there is no excuse for taking the car to the market. The Tern Bicycles The Tern GSD is up to any task. Try one on for size... It just might change the way you look at bicycles.

Testing out the new The Tern HSD S11 on the 13 mile commute. Super smooth and stable and I love the 28mph speed. Was able to average 25-26mph most of the way on the uphill leg and just under 28 on the downhill leg. (585 foot elevation differential over the 13 mile stretch between home and work). I also love how easy the bike is to get on and off as well as the wider tires. Half of the commute is on gravel trails and after the heavy rains the last few days the trail is a bit soft. The HSD doesn't sink in like my narrower road bike tires do. Overall, it is a fantastic bike.
