Our Peas and Carrots team looks different this year. First grade is now teaming up with 6th grade. Mrs. Jourden’s classroom family and Mr. Vaughn’s 6th grade room were able to meet for the first time on Thursday. Both classes helped clean up the garden, pick peppers, and do some buddy reading. On Friday they enjoyed sampling the sweet bell peppers. The smiles on their faces tells it all!

A big thank you to transportation department for coming out to Bristow and talking to the school about bus safety.

The Household Income Form (HIF) can be completed electronically. Regardless of income, every WCPS family needs to complete one form per household. Please know that completing this form directly impacts the funding your school may receive to expand student opportunities. Open house was a success! We can’t wait for the first day of school!

We are so sorry that class list are not posted on infinite campus. The system has been down this afternoon and due to an update. We hope that it will be fixed and grades posted very soon. We apologize for this inconvenience. We know how excited everyone is to know their teachers. We hope it it fixed tonight and we are still able to get them out, but at the latest it will be tomorrow. When and if it goes up tonight, we will post. Thank you for understanding and again we are very sorry.

There has been state construction on Louisville Rd this summer that has added a turn lane into Bristow Elementary. This project has also made it possible for two lines of cars to enter the car rider line. Please click the link to see details of how our new car rider process will work and how cars will merge.

2024-2025 New Car Rider When entering Bristow’s parking lot, there will now be two lanes of car riders. Bristow Elementary School is a one to one device environment. All scholars will be provided a school device. Chromebooks are school managed devices which allow for monitoring during instructional time as well as application and instruction resource pushout directly to students.

The Bristow technology fee is $25 per student for incoming kindergarteners, new students, and students that overlooked paying it last school year. As long as there is no damage to the device when returned, this is a one time fee that will provide your child with a device for their entire elementary career at Bristow Elementary.

An additional fee will be charged if there is damage to the device. The additional fee will be $25 the following school year after damage as long as the damage does not result in complete loss of the device. Damage that results in a loss of the device will incur a fee up to $300 or the depreciated value of the device.
