Barren River Fire Department will be holding our Annual Meeting on October 22 nd starting at 6 pm at Station 2 at 529 Brookwood Drive.

If you can convince your kids to sleep with the door shut, along with working smoke detectors, they have a higher probability of survival during a fire event.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen "Rosie" Rosebrook, a dedicated firefighter who collapsed after running the Bowling Green 10K on September 14th. Stephen began his career with the Bowling Green Fire Department in 2017 and has served the department as an Engineer since 2021. He also served as a Paramedic with the Medical Center EMS. Stephen was deeply committed to his community and always willing to lend a hand to his fellow firefighters. His passion for service and his generous spirit have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Stephen leaves behind his loving parents, brother, fiancé, and one daughter. His passing has created a tremendous void, and he will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Barren River Fire Department responded to a overturned box truck on I 165 this morning at 4:00 am. We remained on scene for several hours until the truck was uprighted. The roadway was reopened and all units cleared the scene.

We will also ave food trucks,vendors, and games for all ages.

EVERYONE GET READY!!! Our FIRST ANNUAL Barren River Community Days and Recruitment Fair.
There's going to be a ton of activities for ALL AGES!!! Along with food trucks, inflatables and cotton candy, vendors from around the area, dunking booth so you can dunk a firefighter, and SO MUCH MORE!!!
This is also a chance if you have ever thought how you can be apart of your community and make a positive impact or just curious about the volunteer fire service, we will have recruitment cards on hand to fill out as well.
