Be sure to always see some HEALED photos in your artist's portfolio! I am notoriously bad at getting healed photos, but it's SO important to see how the color settles and the results soften. Immediately after a session, the brows often look very dark and super defined. After a month or so, you will see the true results.

Long time, no posting!! Here are some healed powder brows before the perfecting session. Brows should always enhance but never overtake the face! Powder brows add structure while blending in with your natural hair growth. They can last anywhere from 1 1/2 - 3 years before needing a color boost, depending on your skin, age and lifestyle.

Fun working on a sweet client yesterday with powder brows! She wanted to keep the brow shape straighter to avoid adding any more gravity to the face. They really suited her petite facial features, and we were both happy!! We will meet again in about 8 weeks for the 2nd, aka 'perfecting' session. Excited to see how they heal!

This is the perfect option for all skin types, for those with very little hair or a lot of hair, as well as those who fill their brows in with a pencil or powder every day. They heal to a powdery look that imitates soft makeup, but it looks more natural since it’s in the skin. They can also add density or fill in the gaps when there is more natural hair present. They fade more evenly and last longer than hair strokes . . . and look good on everyone!!

Almost 1 1/2 years after our last visit, it was time for a color boost to add thickness, fill in strokes and add some fluff to these brows! This is a very oily skin, so that will make them fade more quickly. The color boost costs half of what you originally paid for the new brows, and most folks will find themselves wanting it done 1 1/2 - 2 years after the initial procedure (2nd session), just to give you some idea of maintenance. These are machine hair stroke brows -- not microblading!

My little sis all healed up at 4 weeks! 💕 Her eyebrows were done with the powder brow technique, which creates density and fullness behind the hairs in the brows. The eyes were done with the lash line enhancement technique, which implants pigment at the base of the lashes and creates the illusion of a liner or thicker lashes. It can be subtle or we can always add slightly more thickness at the touch up appointment. Both should last around 2 years or more, slowing fading out over time.

Healing stage photo! This doesn't always happen with permanent makeup, but with a dry skin in a dry climate, it can. The pigment is crusted on top (which is why it looks darker) and is flaking off as the skin heals underneath. The funny faces in the aftercare try to prepare you for the most dramatic healing experience, and it can sometimes be a bit of a roller coaster ride! You really have to trust the process and hang on!!

For those a little more hesitant to make a big commitment to permanent makeup (understandable since it's on your face!), a soft powder brow is the best option. We can always go darker or more saturated on the second session. My favorite comment at the end: "My brows have never looked this even!!" :)

I'm trying to get better about remembering to take photos -- especially of healed brows! These are healed before our final (3rd) session where we added hair strokes and blended everything together. Sometimes corrective work will take more than 2 sessions, depending on what original color needs to be neutralized and covered. We are both happy that there are no more pink brows, woo-hoo!!

Hello to my lovely Bozeman clients! I officially started working on May 15th, and I am SO excited to be in Montana and back at work!

I am my usual clean self, using disposables, wearing gloves and making sure all surfaces are clean, plus I wear a mask and have an air purifier with UV-C. I do have a space heater, but without bedding on the table, if you are on the colder side, feel free to bring your own blanket/throw in with you. Please don't feel the need to wear a mask on my behalf, though. Everything is business as usual except for tattoo removal for now.

Fresh machine hair stroke brows after the first session! We added a little arch and fullness for this red-haired beauty, and now she is on her way to having brows that you can see in the summertime! We tried tinting for a little while, which is a good intro to permanent makeup, but when you know you want more than tinting can give you, you are ready for the real deal.

Healed powder brows!! We had added some baby strokes at the front of her brows at the touch up (and just did a lash lift and tint). You can see how much the color lightened and cooled from a previous posting showing the brows immediately after. I'm trying to be better about remembering to take healed photos, which shows the true "after" picture! :)

It's official -- I found a place to rent here in Arizona and am excited to be a part of Tressa's Hair Design & Spa in Gold Canyon! Just to show how the color and intensity will change with permanent makeup and brows: before, immediately after, and then healed powder brows. They will look dramatic at first and the color will look too warm, but after they settle into the skin, they cool down and soften to subtly enhance those gorgeous eyes!

(Not my original work!) First session of a brow correction to correct the color and shape of a very old brow tattoo. At the second session, we'll see how things have healed and go from there!

This very lovely and patient lady has waited a long while to get her new brows! We did many sessions of removals, unearthing layers of old ink (including some camouflage ink that had turned a shade of greenish-yellow) before we were able to get to the point of correction. She is absolutely thrilled with the first session of her new hair stroke brows!!

It never gets old hearing "I have brows now!"! Machine hair stroke brows look natural and won't wipe off or smudge during the day. 🤨 I'm looking forward to our touch up appointment sometime this fall!

Big changes are coming! I will be relocating back to Arizona this coming fall and living/working there until early next spring. Then we head up to Montana to live/work until next fall . . . then rinse and repeat! It may be crazy, but it just might work!!

I am really looking forward to being closer to family again. :) My last day in my Idaho studio will be September 7th. Thanks to my clients for all of the support these last few years!
