24 PRs collectively from the team! new training program and the team has shown huge improvements and overall one the best team performances in years!

Next week we have other lifters competing at the USAW meet at Tampa fitfest on Saturday and a third group lifting Sunday in the Kilos vs Cancer fundraiser meet, also in Tampa

Good luck to the TFGC squad competing today at the AAU meet. Coach Joey has everybody locked in and ready to rock!!

As we close in on the end of our summer fundraising campaign, the staff and board of TFGC would like to thank everyone who contributed to helping auppprt our program as we approach our 25th year of operations. 2023 Team Florida Gulf Coast Weightlifting Fundraiser Please support 2023 Team Florida Gulf Coast Weightlifting Fundraiser and help us reach our goal of $5000.

Since 1999, Team Florida Gulfcoast Weightlifting ( formerly Team Florida Weightlifting) has been using the drug-free Olympic sport of Weightlifting to improve the physical, mental and social well- being of youth and young adults in the Southwest Florida Gulfcoast area.

In addition to training, coaching and competition opportunities, our non- profit program has offered tutoring, mentoring, occupational opportunities and financial assistance for travel, education, medical treatment, food and living expenses.

Team Florida Gulfcoast had worked with more than 500 individuals during this time frame.

As we work to provide these same services to our current program participants,we are asking each past member of the program to donate $20.00 to our current fundraiser.

If you look back on your time with the program and remember the positive experiences you had with your teammates, your coaches, teachers, tutors and volunteers..please find it in your heart to contribute back to that same program.

Please pass this message on to any of your former teammates as well.
