With back-to-school season upon us, it’s the perfect time to give a special mama the chance to relax and enjoy some “me time.” Mamas often bear the brunt of the back-to-school rush, ensuring the kids have all their supplies, perfect outfits, and everything they need. It’s a hectic period, and moms are usually the last ones to get any pampering.

- Post Sharing: Share at least two of your favorite posts from my page to your stories.
- Reviews: Leave a review or update your review on Google AND Facebook.
- Neighborhood Pages: Share your experience on a local neighborhood page. If I’m not on that page, send a screenshot. (Multiple neighborhood pages mean multiple entries!)

- Exclusions: Extension services and color corrections are not included.
Nomination Period:
- Deadline: Nominations are open until July 31st. Selection will be made August 9th!
Let’s show some appreciation to a deserving mama who could use a little pampering after the back-to-school hustle!
When you look at this against the rest of my work…it feels like it doesn’t fit. Which, to a degree, you’d be right. I’m not a fashion or vivids expert by any stretch of the imagination.
But when I saw this newbie application come through, something really drew me to this client. What it was, I’m not even sure, but I knew I wanted the chance to do this transformation for her.
There was a lot of “trust the process” going on, a little bit of living on a prayer, and a whole lot of “wtf am I doing?”
I am so happy I took this challenge to embrace an artistic side I haven’t used in a long time!
When your natural hair is over 22 inches, a shed ball like this is normal!
Remember: shedding is normal and natural. Premature plucking can cause irreversible damage.
Does your extension artist know the difference? Because I do 😜
Okay, you’ve made it to my page and you’re wanting to take the leap to make ME your hairstylist...but, like, HOW?!?
What up babe! I am so happy I am in the running to become your fave hair guru. Becoming a client literally only takes 4 easy steps! And believe it or not, you’ve probably already completed at least 1 of them!
1. Make sure to review the Session menu on my website to have a clear expectation of what your investment will look like, and what is all included in your session.
2. Fill out a short form where you’ll explore your hair history and goals. This will help us confirm we are on the right path!
3. Upon approval of the form you will be sent an email guide that will include how to move forward with securing your session.
4. By this point you will be set up with a session, feeling confident with our plan moving forward!
It’s seriously *that* freaking easy, so what are you waiting for??? Head to the link in my bio for a direct link to my website!
I am an Elite Artist with Invisible Bead Extensions. But what does that even mean?
There is the technical meaning: I have not only completed my certification, I have completed all 4 Master Courses from IBE as well.
I spent hours dissecting every bead placement, row placement, and grow out within Technique.
I learned how to expand without pain in Business.
I learned to color correct, custom color, and mix wefts for a true personalized look with Color.
My jaw was on the floor when I was taught how to flawlessly blend your hair with the extensions for an even more undetectable look in Cut & Style.
Then there’s my definition:
Being Elite does not mean that I am perfect, or even “the best” at this craft. Being Elite does not mean I know everything there is to know about what “went wrong”.
Being an Elite Artist means I am dedicated.
Being an Elite Artist means I strive for progress, not perfection.
Being an Elite Artist means I have the resources to troubleshoot and find my flaws.
Being an Elite Artist means I will find a way to make you happy.
Being an Elite Artist means I am here for you, every step of the way on your hair journey.
I don’t take this title lightly, in fact there are times I still don’t believe I am an Elite Artist. But here I am!
slow down for you
slow down for the kids
slow down for your spouse
slow down to lessen your stress
slow down to be
slow down to have gratitude
slow down for you
The number of times I have heard clients say “I feel like I never knew how to wash my hair before you” is something I could make money off of 😂
If you do all of this already, I am so proud of you! If you don’t, what is one thing you’re going to change to help the health of your hair?
FAQ’s RE:
• I have really thin hair, will these extensions show?
- The best answer: they shouldn’t! This is one of the top reasons IBE®️ was created. This method teaches us specific checkpoints to ensure your hair extensions are undetectable!
• How much is the service?
- Brianna with Alter’d Mane is an Elite Artist with IBE®️ and her prices are: $250 per row for the initial install, & move ups are $225
• How much does the hair cost?
- Hair can cost anywhere from $300 to $3000. There are many factors that go into the calculation of the cost such as: your current length & density vs your desired end result!
• How often do I need to get my rows moved up?
- Most clients range from 6-10 weeks. Your first move up session will be scheduled around 7-8 to check for proper home care.
• Is IBE®️ the same as hand tied extensions?
- No! Hand tied is actually a type of weft; IBE®️ is a method of installation.
• How long does the hair last?
- Quality hair mixed with proper hair care can allow you to get 6-9 months out of your investment!
• Can I maintain my active lifestyle?
- Absolutely! I recommend applying dry shampoo around your rows & blowdrying the tops after a workout if you get really sweaty.
• What products can I use with my extensions?
- Not all professional products are made the same! 2 brands that have been vetted through Brianna are & select Davines products. If you have a question about a brand you prefer, please ask! Using products that are not extension safe can/will ruin your investment.
What other questions do YOU have about extensions?
Here’s my list of Ins & Outs for 2024
STAHP GIVING A F**K
You do you baby boo! If it brings YOU happiness, that’s what’s most important 🫶🏼
So be free girl, stop holding yourself to societal standards of what to do & what not to do!
Okay that’s all ✌🏼
Remember how I said I have a deep love for brunettes?
Mix that with 1 row of IBE and baby that’s my everything! How flawless is this color blend though?
We hope y’all have enjoyed a very Merry Christmas!
We cannot wait to hear all about it at your next sessions! Did anyone receive something they super loved? I wanna hear about that now 😍
THAT’S A WRAP!
I am officially out of the salon until 2024. I will be working on things around the salon, and catching up on the dreaded end of year paper work, but my job behind the chair is done. While I am out these are some specifics I will be working on:
* Watching the Texture Course from IBE
* Rewatching as many Master Course videos as my brain can handle
* Planning social media content
* Cleaning the salon
* Testing new things for the new year
* Updating the website!
* Planning new ways to pour back into the community next year
I cannot wait to share 2024 with you! Enjoy your holidays babe!
Is it really a secret anymore that I have a deep love for brunettes?
The richness, the shine, the HEALTH!
Are you going to be ready to embrace the darker side in 2024?
Even Google understands 😂😂😂
But really… don’t forget the IBE®!
tied education
I’m sure by now we have all seen the video of the mama who woke up with nothing in her stocking on Christmas morning. She was so busy doing everything for everyone else…but everyone else forgot about her.
Don’t let that be you! Even if you have to fill it yourself, make it something you really want 😜
If anything, it will teach your spouse to do their job 😂
The change I didn’t know she needed 😍😳😍
When Miss Keri Girl said she wanted to go darker I thought she was joking. I kept asking through the appointment “Are you sure?” “You really wanna go dark?”
Now, I know Keri had gone dark before… but not with me. As her stylists, I know how much she invested in being blonde. (Let’s be real, it’s about how much *I* invested in her being blonde) I didn’t want her to go darker with her hair AND extensions, then wind up regretting it.
Pfft, it’s not often I’ll tell you - but I was wrong! There are no ragrets here 😂😂😂 Dark side is the best side!
Which do you like better? Dark Bronde or Bright Blonde?

I have officially been an Invisible Bead Extension Stylist for 3 years TODAY!
It’s absolutely insane to think of how far my career has come because of an extension method. I am so grateful for the entire family! The constant support, the feedback, the education, the friends… it’s all unmatched. I have never felt more “part of something” in my entire life.
In these 3 years I have continued education, and leveled up to become an Elite Artist!
extension.queen to you I say: THANK YOU! Thank you for always being down to chat, have some FaceTime calls, and listen to ideas. Thank you for dreaming bigger than life, to spread the word of healthy hair with extensions. You, my dear, are more amazing than anyone can express.
to you: THANK YOU! Without your mentorship, and patience I wouldn’t be here. You’re such a beautiful spirit, and I am so happy my IBE journey started with you!
I’ve come so far in these last 3 years. And I cannot wait to celebrate more wins in the future!
So often, I get DM's saying: How much will it be for XX inch extensions?
In all honesty, if I haven't met you in person yet for a consultation, I have not a freaking clue.
There are a lot of variables that come into play when pricing out extensions of any length for each individual head.
It depends on your current natural hair:
What is your overall goal for extensions?
How dense is your hair?
What haircut do you currently have?
The thicker your hair is, the more hair you’ll need to blend everything out and break up your natural weight line.
The thinner your hair is, the more *ROWS* you’ll need to distribute weight.
Leaving us with the only way for me to give an accurate quote for XX inch extensions, is through a consultation where I can see what your hair looks like, feels like, and know what your goals are.
In some cases, I can give you a “standard quote” which is what I typically use in a one or two row install for hair. But that can always change when I see it in person. This is why I love customizing the cost for extensions because one size does not fit all!
The proof is in the puddin’ darlin’!
All too often I have clients come to me after being to another stylist who “does something similar” to IBE.
Clients are smart, they figure out if you’re lying. Some may take longer than others, but the truth ALWAYS comes to light.
Regardless, IBE is still the #1 most requested method by clients ✌🏼

2 1/2 years of nursing her hair back to health from a method that wasn’t as gentle, causing an immense amount of damage & breakage.
We are set to graduate from extensions all together by the end of this year ✨
When I was a little girl, my favorite Disney movie was Pocahontas... and my favorite song from that film is still Just Around the Riverbed! You know! The one that goes like this:
🎶What I love most about rivers is
You can't step in the same river twice
The water's always changing, always flowing
But people, I guess, can't live like that...🎶
I am here to tell you, Mabel, can in fact, live like that with her hair! I always look forward to sessions with Mabel because I never know what's around the riverbend with her. See, Mabel and I have been on this hair journey together for 3 years now and we have never repeated a hair color. I absolutely love the excitement and challenge of knowing we will be doing something even just a smidge different than our last session!
Would you ever live like Mabel, and switch things up all the time? Or do you prefer to stay the same?
Your space is sacred - be it physical, mental, or emotional.
Don't let them dusty hoes that get you down, stick around!
This is my favorite moment in the salon.
Organized, clean, & ready for one of my kickass clients to come in to get the party started!
What’s your favorite part of being in the salon?!
Preserve your Hair Extensions and Color with these 5 hacks this Summer:
✨Save for Later✨
1. Avoid sunscreen with Avobenzone. This ingredient will cause your hair extensions to turn an undesirable peachy color, that is nearly impossible to remove. Once extensions have been exposed to avobenzone, replacement can be the only fix.
2. Dampen your hair, & generously apply a leave in conditioner such as Oi All in One Milk, or Goldie Locks Ultra Hydrating Leave-In Treatment from scalp to ends. This will put a barrier between the salt water/chlorine keeping your hair in pristine condition. These products also have their own hair sunscreen in them to help preserve your color!
3. Brush your hair into a tight ponytail, and regular braid or bubble braid the loose hair to secure everything together. This will eliminate any tangles or matting.
4. Wash your hair right after exposure to salt water/chlorine to ensure the chemicals or salt water are completely rinsed from the hair.
5. Following each swimming adventure I recommend a 3-5 minute moisture mask to replenish any lost moisture!
Come on Barbie let’s go party!
I won’t lie, I’m a little indifferent about the movie coming out. But that’s because when I think of Barbie, there are so many memories, and feelings attached! I don’t want the movie to ruin that for me. Some of them are:
• My first “client” with a big chop was on a Barbie!
• My mom’s huge collection of the collectibles: holiday, celebration, and themed dolls!
• The Tyra Banks movie (please, I pray I’m not the only one!)
I always loved that Barbie was able to be whatever, whenever, however. In a way, the essence of what Barbie encompassed was inspiring to my strong, innocent soul.
Are y’all excited for it? So we start a Barbie shirt war? 😂
Here at Alter'd Mane you'll notice I don't use terms like "partial highlight" "full highlight" or even the ever so popular "balayage" - there's a reason for that!
See, in my 10+ years behind the chair one of the biggest issues I encountered was clients getting confused on what services to book. Stylist terms even perplex me from time to time, so I totally feel your pain.
Instead, I like to break it down by LOOKS or as I like to call it, your end goal. Here's how I like to break it down:
Refin'd: grey coverage, all over one color, base shift
Tailor'd: lightening service of any kind
Alter'd: a complete hair color alteration
I find this makes booking easy for all OG's and Newbies!
I find starting a self introduction post can be SO WEIRD!
Do I start out sweet? "Hey y'all..."
Do I start out super vanilla? "It's been a while, and there are a lot of new faces here..."
Do I spit out whatever comes to mind? "What it do baby boo.."
I don't fu***ng know anymore!
My name is Brianna Svec, I am a hairstylist serving the Eastern Tampa Bay area! I can rock your socks off with some dimensional color, some amazing ass hair extensions, or *not to get too crazy* we can even do both at the same time. Wild right?
I was born and raised in good ol' Indiana. Or as I like to refer to it - the South of the North.
Long story short:
I grew up, and became a hairstylist.
After 5 years at a salon, I got fired.
Instead of starting over in Indiana, my now husband and I decided it was time to relocate to Florida!
Right off the bat, I started in a Salon Suite. I knew NO ONE and had ZERO clients.
I built Alter'd Mane through a lot of trial and error, learning curves (both business wise and personally), blood, sweat, tears, and a few beers!
I am so grateful to be OBSESSED with my career, share my days with amazing humans, and have balance within my personal life.
This road wasn't easy and I wouldn't guide many down the paths I have taken. But it's been a beautiful ride for me!
