The Buddha and other wisdom teachers have expressed similarly that taking human form is uniquely structured to give way to insight into awakening-to become increasingly aware of the profound, grotesque beauty life holds and expresses. I’ve often heard stories and perhaps you too or have lived through being entrenched in darkness through pain despair, loneliness, hatred, sickness, to find their way back to see and feel unfolding light relief, love…
Your life is exactly what you need to wake up, with whatever circumstances you’re in.
Or else we may fall into the rhetoric of othering, which can be a divisive tool in rooting delusion. No matter how far off the map we may feel there is someone at sometime in the exact same place that I am - desiring love.

What is insight?
Our sixth sense, our intuitive hits, our sensing of something that resonates on a deeper level.
Back to stillness. In the dynamics of a pose whether it’s resting or activating, a level of strength is needed. Physical strength, at times yes, strength of awareness, also yes.
So much brews and composts below the surface. So many gems to discover inside. May we all physically or mentally cultivate some stillness

Restorative Yoga with Janice is BACK!

Restorative Yoga utilizes different props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks and straps to completely support the body without strain or pain. This support allows the body to release tension gently to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation.
Restorative yoga classes are very relaxing and slow paced. The yoga poses are held for an extended period of time helping to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system helping to reduce stress. The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for slowing your heart rate and breath and increasing blood flow to your vital organs, among other things.
This practice is great for those that benefit from a less vigorous, movement based practice; or to balance an active yoga schedule or to simply give yourself a break!

Because of MANY Raven's Wing Yoga happened. My Native Gram telling me to keep going with my yoga studies because wisdom from many traditions is to be shared and celebrated. Yoganand, a teacher, mentor and friend for so many years told me do it when your young as you'll need lots of energy!! To Aaron my hubby telling me to go for it. And so many others that illuminated the path - past, present and future. Generations of spiritual teaching offers me so much hope, even when things get very dark.
We've held countless classes, teacher trainings, workshops, kirtans, even festivals!! I have been blessed by amazing humans that have both wanted to practice with me and who have wanted to teach with me and offer this light to our community.
Humbling this path is, but I trust all is unfolding beautifully - gently and intensely depending on the day.

So many memories to reflect and have smiles over. So grateful to the many who have supported the practice, the space, the teachers, myself - words do not suffice. From the days of the recipe box full of cards, to now our 4th studio space on South Main St. success is measured by all my relations and RWY existence, for as long as we are around people still want to delve into meditative yoga! PLUS enjoy spirited community events and music, and show up as their most authentic selves, to put in the work from darkness to light. My it be so. ❤️
Full moons represent culminations. They correspond to revelations, heightened energy, or insight. When we come into intentional practice, we have the opportunity to quiet the chatter and go within.
This may be a time to connect with our intuition, ground ourselves, or welcome manifestation. This Full moon practice will be a Soul Chill Flow - enhancing our energy and strength, balanced with ample space to rest and meditate.

Saucha is the first of the 5 niyamas (observations) in yoga. It’s described as cleanliness, clearing away things that no longer have a place, both in body and mind.
