Thank you to everyone past and present who has supported
Kitsap Lake Elementary PTA !
With heavy hearts we close the PTA....,
BUT we are so proud to say that because of YOUR SUPPORT,
we were able to provide 16 PTA GRANTS to empower enrichment opportunities for EVERY single KLE student and the surrounding community !
These grants will provide support towards food insecurity, classroom enrichment, family events, off-campus enrichment, Special Education, music classroom enrichment, the Virtual Learning Academy, health room supplies, and more.
It is wonderful to know that these grants not only empower enrichment this school year, but many will also continue to benefit future students as well.
Thank you once again.
Your KLE PTA Board.
Thank you for your past support of KLE PTA! It allowed us to offer a grant towards this enrichment experience! Each grade at KLE will have the opportunity for enrichment experiences with grants provided by Kitsap Lake Elementary PTA. We are sad to see the PTA come to a close, but are proud that our grants will have a lasting impact on KLE students and the surrounding community.
Families in the District with students receiving special education services are invited to attend our monthly Bremerton Special Education Parent Collective (SEP-C) meetings.
The mission of SEP-C is to encourage honest and effective communication, understanding, and mutual respect in a supportive partnership inclusive of all students, parents, educators, and the community at large in an effort to ensure the delivery of appropriate services to students with disabilities.
The next SEP-C meeting is Wednesday in the Bremerton High School Career Center conference room. Please consider sharing this information with other families who might benefit from being a part of this group! Learn more and get updates at www.BremertonSchools.org/SEP-C
Thank you for your support of the KLE PTA.
Unfortunately, after making many attempts to recruit new board officers over the last couple of years, we are now unable to continue forward.
We are sad to say, that the KLE PTA will no longer be maintained.
Our last official PTA business will be to offer our grant opportunity to KLE staff one LAST time, to support & enrich KLE students.
There are so many benefits to being a PTA Member! Find your local PTA https://wastatepta.org/get-involved/find-your-pta/and?utm_campaign=coschedule&utm_source=facebook_page&utm_medium=Washington%20State%20PTA join today!

Clues to dyslexia in preschoolers:

-Delayed speech
-Difficulty rhyming
-May have trouble learning the alphabet, letters, colors, etc.
-Mispronouncing familiar words (persistent baby talk)
-Difficulty in learning and remembering names of letters and numbers
-Failure to know the letters in one’s name
Clues to dyslexia in kindergartners and first graders
-Failure to understand that words come apart (not able to break words apart into syllables (cowboy to cow-boy) or phonemes (cat to /k/ /a/ /t/)
-Inability to remember letter-sound associations (b represents /b/)
-Reading errors that show no connection to the sounds of the letters (pig may be read as goat)
-Inability to sound out even simple CVC words (big, dog, cat)
-Complains about how hard reading is

Experts believe that engaging in an activity that uses a sense other than the one required for your primary task — listening to music while reading a social studies textbook, for example — can enhance focus and improve performance in people with ADHD. These secondary tasks are called fidgets — mindless activities you can do while working on a primary task. Find 7 fidget ideas here.
