Ginny meant so much to so many, especially in our PKU community. Our hearts will be with her wonderful family.
We want to remember and honor Ginny Michaux, a true champion for the PKU community and a beloved founder of the National PKU Alliance (NPKUA). Ginny’s journey with PKU began in 2002 when her granddaughter, Tia, was born with PKU. Ginny’s love for her family and passion for making a difference led her to help found the NPKUA in 2008, with a mission to pursue better therapies and ultimately find a cure for PKU.
Ginny’s contributions didn’t stop there. As an active member of the NPKUA's Scientific Advisory Council, she dedicated her remaining years to evaluating scientific grant proposals. Her tireless efforts and commitment paid off in the most meaningful way—one of the therapies she worked on was approved by the FDA, allowing her granddaughter Tia to go off to college, enjoying a full, protein-rich diet.
Ginny's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her and in the lives of those she touched through her work. We are forever grateful for her vision, her dedication, and her unwavering belief in a better future for the PKU community.
Thank you Lainey Wilson for your message of support. Join us or donate at https://one.bidpal.net/nashvilleltlforpku/welcome

Meet Emma! “When I first moved to Tennessee, I was absolutely blown away by the Foundation's impact and community. I have always felt extremely lucky to have found the TN PKU Foundation, and I am deeply honored to now be leading it, with a patient's perspective.” - Emma Decker- President, TN PKU Foundation
This Valentine’s Day, check out some of Emma Decker’s favorite Valentine’s Day recipes:
1. "Strawberry Fool" - Couldn’t be an easier dessert! Just Berries and Cool Whip. Swap in your favorite berries or cherries and serve in a pretty glass or bowl!
2. "Waffles" - Mix 2 TBSP of CFL’s Hot Cocoa mix into a 1/2c of MixQuick, then stir in a heaping 1/4c of water. Chocolate waffles! Topped here with some Strawberry Fool. https://cookforlove.org/recipes/detail/75673
3. "Fudge" - Candy making can be a little tricky, but this Chocolate Fudge from the Low Protein Cookery never fails to disappoint. https://cookforlove.org/recipes/detail/86812
4. "Brownies" - The Low Protein Cookery’s Brownie bars come together easily and are delicious!
